The housing bubble was directly caused by the CRA. The Carter error forced banks to make loans to unqualified buyers or face CRIMINAL prosecution. This was somewhat limited under Carter. But Clinton's AG - the witch hunter Janet Reno took time away from persecuting cops as supposed satanists to actually start prosecuting banks for not making bogus loans to those with no means to pay them.

I don't agree. Though an overhaul is needed. handing cash to people is stupid - and SNAP cards ARE cash.

No American citizen should face actual hunger. Community soup kitchens staffed by those who benefit from them, that is the welfare recipients, make the most sense, The poor get fed, but have to wash some dishes or serve food to others.

As government programs continue to expand, and the fiat currency inflates, even MORE has to be printed to keep up, causing even further inflation. It's a self feeding spiral of inflation.

Eventually, it must collapse. At some point people will choose a different currency, and there is nothing the government can do about it.
