Yes but fundies believe in Futurism. Francisco Ribera (1537-1591) was a Jesuit doctor of theology, and Cardinal Bellarmine wrote books that became the basis for futurism then Edward Irving (1792-1834) dusted off Ribera and Bellarimine's work and brought it to the Protestant movement. That is where it came into the modern fundamental church.

Interestingly Preterism also came out of the Catholic Church and was taught at the same time by the Catholic Church. There is a reason they wanted to replace Historicism.

Protestants believed in Historicism prior to the change to Futurism
