Pointless deployment to D.C.

Yes, soldiers make terrible police officers.

Wrong mindset.

Also a large part of the police problem in the US.
They are national Guardsmen,...basically citizen Soldiers. I have great respect for what they do. But do you think that NG's are anywhere near the same mindset as full time active duty? They aren't. Trust me,....the criminals in our streets should be thanking their lucky stars that they don't have active duty 11 B's patrolling their streets. Whole different ballgame.

Trump wants to incite violence like this just so he can do what he's doing: ramping up the military occupation of major US cities.
It’s clear how fast he put the operation together to bring in 500 more troops, he had this in the back of his head. That was the plan the instant someone responded to their being National Guard in their city.

I really don’t think it will happen, but he is looking for a way to become a Putin like dictator.

And yet they are still soldiers and not police.

My point stands, your deflections do not change that.

It's not rocket science. He uses heavy handed tactics to generate a violent response to his hateful rhetoric and actions. All it takes is one as we've seen with this incident, Charlie Kirk, etc. When the violence happens, he feels justified to use violence to stop violence by ramping up the military occupations.

Agreed, but it's a question of how many Americans have to die before Congress pulls the rug out from him. I expect the friends, relatives and neighbors of the most obnoxious MAGAts across the land will make them face a day of reckoning.

I just hope there is not a big terrorist attack or any organized domestic violence, we would certainly lose our democracy.

“I really don’t think…”

True that.

The Guard helped lower the crime rate in DC dramatically and saved “lives” that you denied.

“No lives were saved,” your quote.

Prove a life was saved?

Have you already forgotten that I posted this a few hours ago?

However, since the Guard's arrival, the city has experienced a notable decline in criminal activity.

For the first time in a long time, D.C. has gone seven days without a homicide. Carjackings have decreased by 83%, robberies by 46%, car thefts by 21%, and overall violent crime is down 22%.

Robbery -46%, carjackings - 83%, car theft -21%, & violent ... homicides, 30% of robberies, and 35% of motor vehicle thefts." This ...

Prove that it was "pointless". We know it was effective, crime rates have dropped dramatically in the city.

(I'll look for a chart that will translate here).

Were lives saved after the National Guard came to DC?

Yes, specific instances of
life-saving aid by National Guard members have been reported since their deployment to Washington, D.C., in August 2025. Overall crime data also indicates a significant decrease in homicides and violent crimes in the city during this period, though the cause is debated.

Specific Life-Saving Incidents
  • Medical Aid: In late September 2025, Guard members on patrol in D.C. found an unconscious man in distress and rendered life-saving aid, reviving the victim before emergency medical services arrived.
  • Overdose Response: In a separate incident in August, two Guard members on joint patrol at Union Station discovered a man who appeared to be suffering from a serious overdose and assisted first responders in getting him medical attention.

Overall Crime Statistics and Context
  • Reduced Homicides: Between May 25 and November 25, 2025, there were 62 homicides recorded in D.C., a decrease from 107 during the same period in 2024.
  • General Crime Drop: Reports from the Joint Task Force-DC in September noted a 37% drop in carjackings, a 50% decrease in robberies, and a 23% drop in violent crime since the mission began.

It's expensive, probably unsustainable, but it was definitely effective. Would be in Chicago too, if the governor wasn't a moron. How much were the lives that were saved worth to Jarod? Well, zero, because that terrorist that killed Sarah likely would have killed others, and those other people who weren't murdered or victimized should have died or been assaulted because it was "worthless" to save or protect them, per Jarod...

We know that Jarod thinks it is worthless to protect people or save their lives, and it is our duty to die rather than be protected if Jarod deems the protection to be "pointless". I am very glad that Jarod isn't in charge of anything important to me.

The receptionist can’t remember what he posted a few hours ago in another thread.
