And now -- just like that -- marijuana is 100% Republican and good for business.

I don't smoke the shit,...whatever someone else does is on them. It stinks like hell and makes the people smoking it stink like hell too. What a nasty way to live,.....how gross.

I agree. It's also, if anything, less safe as a product than smoking tobacco...

Just a couple weeks ago they said they were going to start enforcing the federal crime of marijuana possession…. And a lot of you fuckers agreed with him.

I have seen a lot of people making that case.....for me it really started with Peter Hitchens since about three years ago.....he goes on and on about why smoking weed is a bad idea.
If you look into it, there are some good studies out there but it's hit and miss as marijuana is generally still illegal making research on its health effects difficult.

Some of the best come from N. Zealand where the Māori indigenous people comprise a population that are both the heaviest pot smokers on the planet while not using tobacco. What's been found in these studies includes:

For weight for weight--that is equal amounts--of marijuana and tobacco, marijuana is about three times more carcinogenic than tobacco. Reasons include, the chemical / organic composition of the two where marijuana has more of the chemicals generally associated with causing cancer, marijuana being smoked unfiltered, and marijuana usually being smoked closer to the butt of the joint meaning that more of those chemicals are inhaled by the user.
The Māori have the highest lung cancer rate of any group on the planet.

With long-term use there is about a 20% increase in the probability someone will develop bi-polar schizoaffective mental illness using marijuana.

Those two issues alone argue for heavy regulation of marijuana if legalized along with a strong campaign to disincentivize use as has occurred with tobacco.

Trump expected to sign executive order to reclassify marijuana as soon as Monday, source tells CNBC; pot stocks surge

So I wonder how long it will take for the local trump supporters will take to come around to the new point of view.

Whaddya say, republicans? Is pot OK with you if trump reclassifies it down to the level of say, alcohol?
You do understand the need for this to be done don't you?
It has nothing to do with Trumps or the people's position on pot and everything to do with standardizing laws across all states. Pot shops will not benefit. Pot sellers from outside aproved growers will make a fortune.

Pretty soon all the Trumper will agree with this, if Trump goes through with it. He may not cause he’s kind of a taco and he lies a lot.
