That's true. We were warned beginning on Tuesday that the power "could potentially" be interrupted on Wednesday. Parts of Denver, about half of Boulder, and places in between were shut off. They warned us and were well prepared. It's just that no one expected it to last this long.

My parents live in Colorado Springs, which is where we'll have Christmas. I'm headed down there on Wednesday and very much look forward to some downtime! What are your plans for this festive week?

For real. I never in my life imagined that the US could become this cesspool. TACO reignited and encouraged the very worst tendencies in the very worst people. Then came the disinformation. Remember Kellyanne Conway's "alternative facts" bullshit. That was one of our first warnings that we were becoming a fascist state with no attachment whatsoever to reality and truth. It's only gotten worse since then. MAGA is the most destructive force that has ever existed in the country right after the Confederacy. Even the KKK wasn't as bad as MAGA, although all of the KKK did end up in MAGA. Stupid people doing hateful things while breathlessly and endlessly whining about how they're victims.

Good. Mass quantities. lol We celebrate Yule (tomorrow) and Christmas both, but differently. We've got some good feasts planned, will do Zoom with the kids/g-kids. Mr. Owl's getting us a new stove for Christmas, supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. So maybe we'll be trying that out. It's similar to the current one -- a ceramic electric cooktop. But the new one is black and has five burnders! I also really want to see the new Avatar movie, but we might wait till after Christmas for that.
