5 things to know about the Somali community in Minnesota after Trump's attacks

They came in legally, own businesses and contribute to the economy. Nobody except trump sees it as a problem and now he's convinced people like you, too. I'll bet you never gave a thought to Somalis before trump.

"A large number of the Somali immigrants settled in Minnesota, which by 2002 harbored the largest population of Somalis in North America. Many of the newer arrivals came through voluntary agencies (VOLAGS) contracted with the State Department, who helped them settle in. In 2006, Somalis in the state accounted for $164–$394 million in purchasing power and owned 600 businesses. The city of Minneapolis in particular hosts hundreds of Somali-owned and operated commercial ventures."
That has nothing to do with what I said. You are just trying to justify their being here.

Man, you can't be doing that anchor baby stuff with Muslim Somalians, no.
Their average IQ is 68.
None of them belong in America. Send them home.
They all have to apply for citizenship or gtfo.
AND take real steps to achieving citizenship in America if they want to stay.
You don't know anything. Clearly you didn't read the OP.

"The largest population is in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, home to about 84,000 residents, most of whom are American citizens."

Furthermore, you're quoting an IQ for the country of Somalia, not those living in the US.

Her gender and race have nothing to do with it. She's got shit political positions. is dumb as fuck, and arrogant about it.

As for Rick Scott, you are just using a canard, a red herring there. His fraud case has nothing to do with Omar nor any other fraud going on.

And, yes, he's likely guilty of Medicaid fraud even if never charged or convicted. As to his election to governor then senator, ask those that elected him.
Anytime someone gives you a comparison relating to your party, you call it a red herring. I call it hypocrisy. If you can't condemn your own people for doing the same thing the other party did, you're just being intellectually dishonest.

Btw, Scott's company was convicted of 14 felonies and had to pay $1.7 billion in what was the largest healthcare fraud in US history up to that time.

Using an unrelated incident to the topic of the conversation with the intent to redirect that conversation away from the original topic, which is EXACTLY what you did, makes it a red herring.

You can call it whatever you want, but that doesn't change that your bringing Rick Scott's Medicaid fraud case into this discussion is nothing but a distraction. That is, it is a red herring.

You said "There was no reason to let them in then, and no reason to let them in now." According to who, you? I thought you were a historian yet you don't seem to know too much about international affairs during the 90s. These people have lived her for close to thirty years but all of a sudden trump and you are outraged.

Rick Scott's grifting isn't a side issue; he did exactly what you claim the MN Somalis did but you can't bring yourself to condemn it and him.

STFU, there is not ary a reason for our government to import Muslims en masse to anywhere in this great nation at all.
In fact, it's against Article IV, Section 4 of The Constitution, which we do go by in America, no?
The choices now is will they leave peacefully, or will we have to rain white phosphorous down on them. :ninja:
Islam is incompatible with America.

Take it up with the State Dept. Muslims have been immigrating here for centuries; that means before the Constitution. Nobody gave it a second thought until 9/11, then suddenly they were all demonized.

Historical Overview of Muslim Immigration to the U.S.

Early Arrivals

  • 16th Century: The presence of Muslims in America can be traced back to the 16th century with the arrival of enslaved Africans. It is estimated that 10% to 30% of these enslaved individuals were Muslims.
  • 1527: Estevanico, a North African Muslim, is often cited as the first documented Muslim in America, arriving with a Spanish expedition.

Significant Waves of Immigration

  • 19th Century: Small-scale immigration began in the 1840s, primarily from the Ottoman Empire and British India. This continued until World War I.
  • 1880s to 1924: A notable wave of Muslim immigrants, mainly from the Middle East, occurred during this period. Approximately 95,000 Arabs immigrated to the U.S., seeking better economic opportunities.
  • Post-1965: The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 significantly increased Muslim immigration. This act abolished previous quotas, leading to an influx of immigrants from Muslim-majority countries. Between 1966 and 1997, around 2.78 million people immigrated from these regions.

Current Population

  • As of 2020, there are approximately 4.45 million Muslim Americans, making up about 1.34% of the total U.S. population. The Muslim community in the U.S. is diverse, with many being second-generation immigrants.

Seeding Muslims into American communities is traitorous.
It's allowing invasion of the states. Against the Constitution.
Clinton and Obama did that.
Trump will undo all of that to the best of his ability. Doubt it will be enough. :(
We may end up having to fight these foreigners in our home land that traitorous leaders let in that should hang for being traitors.

Just more trump diversion from the Epstein files, and magas are eating it up.

"An estimated 260,000 people of Somali descent were living in the U.S. in 2024, according to the Census Bureau's annual American Community Survey. The largest population is in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, home to about 84,000 residents, most of whom are American citizens.

Almost 58% of the Somalis in Minnesota were born in the U.S.
Of the foreign-born Somalis in Minnesota, an overwhelming majority –- 87% — are naturalized U.S. citizens.

While Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a social media post Monday that his agency is investigating whether "hardworking Minnesotans' tax dollars may have been diverted to the terrorist organization," little evidence has emerged so far to prove a link. Federal prosecutors have not charged any of the dozens of defendants in recent public program fraud cases in Minnesota with providing material support to foreign terrorist organizations.

Last month, Trump said he was terminating Temporary Protected Status for Somali migrants in Minnesota, a legal safeguard against deportation. A report produced for Congress in August put the number of Somalis covered by the program at just 705 nationwide. The announcement drew immediate pushback from some state leaders and immigration experts, who characterized Trump's declaration as a legally dubious effort to sow fear and suspicion."

It's gonna come out who the abusers are. Too many men and law enforcement officials know what's what. trump's only prolonging the inevitable by using our DOJ to play this "shell game" for him.
