If God were real, you wouldn’t need a book

but do unto others is the whole of the law.

Jesus didnt say we must believe in the miracle of his resurrection.

he said we must treat each other well.

this is the real operational positive impact of christianity.
You're confusing everyday life with Eternal life through the Blood of the Cross

I believe there are no gods for a variety of reasons, including not believing the fairytales of the Bible.
Logic, Zen...LOGIC. You ought to use a bit from time to time.

If every word of the Bible were proven to be fairytales...that would not be a reason to "believe" (blindly guess) there are no gods. All it would lead to is that the Bible is a fairytale.

Logic is your friend. Don't be so frightened of it that you hide from it.

be here now.

Some people do need religion. They want the fellowship, the learning, and the comfort.
True.
There is also a need for the church's institutional expertise and administrative experience.

Universities, hospitals, orphanages were invented by Christians because they had organized institutional expertise and experience to leverage.

Even today, it's not all that effective for one individual person to provide service to the community. The food banks and homeless assistance services here at the local level is largely administered by churches, or government programs. It's hard, and not very effective, for one individual to go out there and make a huge difference.

Other than the Bible, or other religious books, what evidence is there for gods?

Other than the Bible, or other religious books, what evidence is there for gods?
We do not know.

BUT everything that exists in this universe MAY BE evidence FOR a god or gods. Why can you not finally understand that? As I told you, LOGIC IS YOUR FRIEND.

AND even if there is, by your faulty logic, no evidence for gods...that is NOT evidence that there are no gods. There was a time when there was no evidence for atoms...or other planets. But that does not mean there were no atoms or other planets.

Think, Zen.

May be is opinion, not logic.
