ExxonMobil CEO tells Trump Venezuela is ‘uninvestible,’ despite Trump’s plans to rebuild its energy infrastructure

Venezuela is a heavily armed country full of long suffering people who hate us.....stealing their oil is not as easy as Trump thinks it is. Even with the consent of the people getting to oil moving would take a decade and many hundreds of billions of dollars.

This reminds me our our trade war with China and our war against Russia in Ukraine....Trump quite obviously has not the first fucking clue what reality looks like.

Major multinationals like ExxonMobil are risk averse to a certain extent.

Most of Venezuela's remaining oil reserves are low quality heavy oil that requires a lot of expensive processing and refining to produce a profitable consumer product.

They left because of the circumstances, why would they return? Did they not tell DonOld that when he informed them and not Congress about his plans?

Good Point, congress is suppose to control the purse strings, any plans Trump has involving U.S. funding for this white elephant Venezuela oil project , but Trump did give Argentina 40 billion dollars without congress consent or authorization?!!

So, I heard an interesting theory. trump's mental illness has him living in the past. Oil is tech of the past. The future is AI and computing. It would have been wrong and I would have said so - but it would have made much more sense for trump to invade Taiwan and grab all their microchips! Now China will be free to do that - especially now that trump's made it clear we won't stop them!

trump has really fucked the free world, my friend.
