The wheels were pointed away from the officers. All of them. That is simply a matter of fact.

The wheels turned to the right after the shot, if you view the frame by frame, first shot then wheels turn to right. She backs up, he pulls gun, she points wheels straight, it hits the guy, he fires at the same instant he is hit, then two more from the side... The wheels did not turn to the right until after she hit him.
Regardless, in the "split second" scenario, the agent could absolutely believe that he needed to defend his life, and the lives of others. She had demonstrated a capacity and willingness to drive her car into law enforcement agents, you do not let a dangerous suspect flee with their weapon after they display a willingness to harm others. You do not let them leave when they show a reckless disregard for the safety of others.
Not when she put the car into gear and accelerated...
