I am not so sure he can cancel elections for members of Congress.
The CONSTITUTION ( Trump doesn't follow it any ways but ) states that the states can appoint their members to Congress any way the State legislature decides and sees fit.
Heck the state legislature can if they want just appoint whom ever they want to Congress and don't even need to hold elections.
But I am sure IF they ever did that they wouldn't have a job for long.

What about this: The Posse Comitatus Act, enacted in 1878. It limits military involvement in civilian affairs to protect democracy and personal liberty, allowing military action only under specific legal exceptions.

He can disrupt them though such that certification deadlines are missed in the attempt to force the count to be certified with the 'votes in'.

That is how Roger Stone was able to get GWB Jr the win over Al Gore with the Brooks Brothers riot disrupting the Florida count and then the SC demanding the count be held, while they held the case. Ultimately the SC ruled the ballots should be counted but said there is not enough time so the election had to be certified as is, which meant Bush won.

That was very deliberate by the SC as they had the option to tell Florida to keep counting while they decided the case and thus the votes would have been ready with the ruling. But they chose to hold the count making it so whatever way they ruled Bush would win.

Trump will try and have his ICE army seize vote counting machines in key dem areas and States will have to have armed police ready to fight ICE to stop them and not just rely on the courts to get them back so they can certify as Trumps people will ensure they know how to wipe out all vote counts in them.

I doubt States are up to that type of fight and think they rely on the courts
 
What Trump does not want though is to use the Insurrection Act too early and have the SC rule against it and put limits on it for him for the future. He really wants to save that bullet for election time.

Our courts have done right the majority of the time. I can be aware, but I can’t give up hope on our Republic, yet.
