Trump's Justification for the Shooting of Renee Good: Disrespect

The whole "she had it comin'" thing from MAGA and the right is incomprehensible to me.

I get the split second nature of the decision, but they're really taking it a step further than that. Many are portraying it like she deserved what she got.

We're seeing our humanity slowly slip away, in real time.

Renee Good was shot by someone who believed she was trying to run him over with a car. There's something wrong with you. We can play that game all day and it will get us nowhere and it is not part of this conversation.
No, he continued to shoot at her when the vehicle was clear of him, and he was out of danger. It's a good thing no one else was hurt by Good's vehicle as it with her corpse in it, struck someone else's property. You all were all about "police procedure" when Babbit was shot. I guess shooting at a moving vehicle is ok with you as long as the victim didn't vote for trump. Please don't tell me Ross was ever in fear for his life. He rage-murdered that poor woman.
Currently we are not talking about Renee Good, I am talking about the idea that someone posted in this thread that everyone has a right to "disrespect others" and I am curious as to where that line ends in the mind of the person who suggested the right exists. Renee was not shot because she "disrespected" the Agent, she was shot because she drove her car into an agent.
Total wing nut fantasy. She was scared and trying to get away. She had her dog in the back seat and you can see her kid's stuffed animals with her blood all over them.
Personally I think it ends the same place your right to throw fists ends, at the end of my nose.
I don't want to hurt you, Damo. Honestly, I'm just trying to help you behave reasonably. Hey, I'll stop posting to you if you're going to get this upset.

Which tells me that even you understand that he fired because she drove her car at him. Tell me which law enforcement officer is trained to let someone armed and dangerous go because they "ran past them"...

Which doesn't change that she drove a car at him. Nobody is "upset"... The issue you have here is you cannot get past your own anger. the only person "upset" is you.

Regardless.

The conversation I'm on about is not about Renee... It's really getting boring having to point out that I am discussing an idea, not Renee.... I'll have to remove this stuff and start a new thread probably so you can separate it out in your tiny mind. I responded to an idea, and I am holding a conversation about that idea. We already know which side of the "why was she shot" debate we stand on... What we do not know is where you think the "right to disrespect" ends...

Which tells me that even you understand that he fired because she drove her car at him.
That is the correct answer.

This is the final word on the matter:

I'm comparing the "right to disrespect" with the "right to disrespect". The level of damage to the person showing disrespect notwithstanding... Charlie Kirk was killed for that kind of "disrespect". If you believe we have a right to "disrespect people" how deep does it go? Who has the right, and who has the right to take livelihood or life from someone for daring to have a differing opinion?
You just made my point. Kirk had a right to disrespect people. Other people had the right to be contemptuous of him. No one had the right to kill him. Good had a right to disrespect the ICE agents. In fact, she didn't disrespect anyone, but that's a fact that's lost on cultists and a lie that Trump told. No one had the right to kill her. Your analogy is bogus.

President Trump has added another justification for the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minnesota: She behaved badly.

“At a very minimum, that woman was very, very disrespectful to law enforcement,” Mr. Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday evening.
And she was. Trump is right.
In the days since Ms. Good, 37, was shot and killed by Jonathan Ross, an ICE agent, Trump administration officials have used a variety of arguments as they have tried to justify the episode. They have called it an act of self-defense, and Mr. Trump has falsely claimed Ms. Good “ran over” the agent. JD Vance, the vice president, has argued that Mr. Ross has “absolute immunity.”
He was well within his authority. Both Trump and Vance are right again.
While Mr. Trump still says the ICE agent was acting in self-defense, his latest comments suggest that disrespecting law enforcement could help to justify the killing.
Trump is right yet again. If she hadn't gone there to specifically interfere with ICE, and hadn't tried to run over an ICE officer, she would still be alive today.
The comments raise serious questions about the use of force by those carrying out Mr. Trump’s crackdown on immigration,
Ross was well within his authority to use lethal force.
and they underscore the extent to which Mr. Trump’s impulse is to condemn anything done by his critics and to defend the actions of his supporters.
She brought her own death upon herself. You cannot blame Trump for it.

In the USA, we have the freedom to disrespect people.
Interfering with a federal officer is a CRIME.
Attempting to run over a federal officer is a CRIME and could get you shot!
Ignoring a federal officer's lawful commands can get you arrested.
Attempting to flee federal officers is a CRIME and could get your shot, wrecked, your car impounded, and arrested.

Attack a cop, and YOU WILL LOSE, Wally.

Trump threatens to use military over Minnesota anti-ICE protests

WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Thursday to invoke the Insurrection Act to deploy military forces in Minnesota after days of angry protests over a surge in immigration agents on the streets of Minneapolis.

Good!

What 'cruelty'??

I'm proud of these guys. They go into dangerous situations to arrest illegal aliens that have criminal records. They arrest domestic terrorists. They keep an even keel despite the Karens blasting megaphones in their ear.

Finally the law is getting enforced, and you are angry that criminals are being caught.

You just made my point.
You aren't making a point.
Kirk had a right to disrespect people.
He respected people. DEMOCRATS murdered him.
Other people had the right to be contemptuous of him.
You do not have the right to murder.
No one had the right to kill him.
Yet you support those that murdered him.
Good had a right to disrespect the ICE agents.
No, she didn't. Interfering with a federal officer is a CRIME. Trying to run over a federal officer is a CRIME and get you shot! Trying to flee federal officers is a CRIME and get you wrecked, your vehicle impounded, possibly shot, and arrested.
In fact, she didn't disrespect anyone,
Lie. She paid the price for it, too.
but that's a fact that's lost on cultists and a lie that Trump told.
Trump didn't shoot her.
No one had the right to kill her.
Ross was well within his authority to use lethal force.
Your analogy is bogus.
What 'analogy'?

Both he and TA "console" themselves by claiming the looney left brought it on themselves.
Not a consolation. You brought it on yourselves.
Blaming the victims is a NAZI procedure.
Okay, NAZI. You are blaming the victim. You are blaming the officer getting attacked by a driver in a vehicle.
Neither of them are either intellectually honest. They can't be or they'd have to admit there is something wrong with what their party is doing.
Illiteracy: Multiple applied to self.

Charlie Kirk was murdered by a crazy person.
A DEMOCRAT.
Renee good was slaughtered in cold blood by a masked goon accountable to no one bit the king.
No blade was used, Lurchy. She brought her own death upon herself. There is no king.
There's something wrong with you.
Inversion fallacy.

* You apparently believe the United States is a dictatorship.
* You apparently believe that you should be free to run over people with your car.
* You apparently support domestic terrorism.
* You support the crime of harboring illegal aliens.
* You apparently believe that you can just ignore police officers.

You are headed for a bad future with this attitude, Lurchy.
