How would the debt be paid off, if the government did not get their money for working an extra year. Besides, his math is completely off.

He claims that if everyone worked an extra year, over their entire lifetimes, that would be an extra $3 trillion. He claims that would payoff a national debt of $36.5 trillion. Even at 100% tax, that would take an extra 12.2 years.

So what he is proposing is that Americans would retire at 67, but instead they work until they are nearly 80, paying 100% of the money they earn to payoff the debt. From 67 to 80, you get paid out of retirement, but work with your salary going to the government.
