Right... ITEMIZED deductions, NOT as a STANDARD deduction, which is how the VAST majority of people file their taxes (or have their taxed filed).

That means that most people currently DON'T get to claim their church donations on their taxes (because they aren't itemizing), but now because of Donald Trump and the OBBB they WILL be able to claim them via a standard deduction. (up to $1,000 for single, $2,000 for married)

This isn't about churches; this is about individuals. Because of Donald Trump (OBBB), I'm going to be able to deduct $1,000 off of my taxable income on next year's taxes because I donate money to my local church.
