The Party of NO gets called out!

Taichiliberal

Shaken, not stirred!
Dem Rep Anthony Weiner had enough of the GOP's "just say NO" to ANY AND EVERYTHING that comes from the Dem Party under Obama. The latest BS was the GOP holding up passing a bill that would provide funding on healthcare funding for ill 9/11 responders based on "procedural" differences....a 2/3 vote instead of majority vote that would prevent the GOP from slapping on "toxic" amendments that are against the administrations policies (as they have done continually since Obama took office).

Weiner just got tired of the bullshit...and let'em have it!

Now, if only the Dems had that fire in their belly, they'd tell the bluedogs/dixiecrats to get in line or get bent, and just follow in the spirit of Dick Cheney by telling the GOP to "fuck off"!

i caught part of that messaGE LIVE AND I CAN ONLY SAY 'GOOD FOR WEINER'

Let's see, the Dems could have put this important bill to straight majority vote, but to do so would have allowed minority party to add amendments. In order to avoid that, went with 2/3 vote. Blue Dogs and Republicans voted down the free spending. The question that all should be asking is, "How fast can you fix it to get it passed overwhelmingly, Mr. Weiner?"

Oh, so it only took me 20 minutes to write a response before my dumb/drunk ass hit the delete button. What i know i wrote was not partisan and if questioned on the issue f*ck you to the partisans. G*d D*mm*t!!!! My response kicked *ss.

It just goes to show how low the Repubs can go by denying health care to the heroes who responded to the 911 crisis. A perfect example of "Compassionate Conservatism". It's enough to turn anyone's stomach.

Perhaps a little melody to calm the righteous indignation that's flaring in every decent human being.

The People are going to tell you and your wiener to fuck off in November.

REMEMBER NOVEMBER!
So when it comes to supporting the men and women that served at ground zero in the hours and days after the attack, you wanna do that, but not at the cost of politics. If the Minority cannot tack on all kinds of bullshit amendments, then fuck the men and women who saved lives, they can wait.

Socr I am so sick and tired of the partisan shit going on in DC that I'm tempted to vote against all incumbants on general principle and to send them a message that will put the fear to god in them.

Sadly though the only thing that would accomplish is to play into the hands of the far right and we need the Dixies, Webways, and Bravos, et, el, running this country like we need a collective hole in our head. I'm at a complete fucking loss.

I don't have a problem with the Obama administration. His political naivete and his lack of a consistant message are frustrating but he's performed fairly well at starting the heavy lifting of digging us out of the Bush mess.

Congress, on the other hand, I could take a flame thrower too.

This response is from the Ohio State board.... is it wrong?

More than $38 Billion (exclusing the costs of the cleanup of the building) has been sent to New York for 9/11 survivors to date. I sympathize with these people and believe they should be helped with medical costs, but why is this not now a state issue? Feinburg distributed the monies and there were cutoff dates to apply. This new legislation in Congress only applies to people who did not apply by the cutoff date, which in some cases I would say are valid if it is a cancer caused by the rubble, but it also opens up claims for the next 30 years. It was a horrible accident, incredible funds have been donated and dispersed, why were no funds out of the $38 Billion kept in reserve? And why aren't the tax revenues of NYC and New York state being tapped?

You don't need a single republican to pass the legislation, they do now because of the arcane rule they decided to use that required 2/3rds...they could have pushed this legislation a year ago if they wanted to give it priority. This is political fodder.

It's kind of like saying you are going to eliminate police unless you vote for a tax increase. No one wants to deny 9/11 victims just compensation, so you bring it up now to show how mean and terrible the other side is, while you plead you will help the poor and down trodden, while never considering it important enough to pass a year ago or to appropriate monies in the HEALTHCARE bill for it, remember that comprehensive reform...this is healthcare.

i watched this video on the news and heard weiners explanation and all I can say is he's full of shit. It's that kind of 'pass it at all costs' and worry about the consequences afterwards that is part of the reason this country is in such shambles.

Funny, but I do recall YOU and other like minded cretins touting the same thing in 2008. We will see, my pointy hood wearing revisionist friend.

Remember, remember the 5th of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I see no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Given the GOP's obstructionist stance on programs that actually benefit the people will pandering to large corporations and the economic elite of this country, I wouldn't count those chickens yet, bunky. If Weiner doesn't kowtow to the DNC, and the teabaggers and their candidates keep shooting themselves in the foot, things might not sway back to neocon control.

Remember, idiots like Dixie were touting the same mantra in 2008.

Amazing how you repeat a moot point and try to spin it to make the Party of NO look good.

It's like this Annie, ever since Obama got into office the GOP has lock-step either kept proposed bills from passing or had them watered down to the point where the original intention was practically removed.

Your "free spending" mantra is a standard neocon distortion, given that the same GOP members had NO PROBLEM with voting time and again for budgets for two war fronts (one illegal) without ever meshing out how to pay for it....as they whole heartedly voted to support a bailout of Wall St. and investor banks after keeping down regulation....but ANYTHING that Obama and the Dem's do is "free spending"....which is just not true when one reads the proposal. Essentially, the GOP just want to do what they've been doing....load up toxic amendments that will either delay or prevent the bill from passing in it's current form, and then whine to the neocon punditry (Fox, Newsbusters, Malkin, WND, Crowley, etc.) that the Dems don't care about the 9/11 first responders.

Well, Weiner put a stop to that bullshit, and the GOP now is just flailing away in frustration.

YouTube- Try to Remember

Man, I use to remember hearing that guy on some of the old TV variety shows when I was a kid.....almost brings a tear to the eye!

Yeah, the GOPers are just blatantly showing they don't give a damn about anyone unless they can ensure they're return to the neocon heaven days under the Shrub & company! That they are trying to flip the blame for their actions on the Dems is truly cowardly!
