“Johnson says 6 Democrats should be indicted after grand jury rebuke”​

“House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said the six Democrats who participated in a video urging service members to disobey illegal orders last fall “should be indicted,” even as a grand jury on Tuesday refused to do so.”


Appears someone doesn’t understand the legal system, but then he’s 100% MAGA, laws don’t matter to MAGA

Could Johnson kiss Trump’s ass any closer, last I knew, the Founders created the Legislative Branch as past of the intricate system of checks and balances, not a rubber stamp of the Executive
 
Johnson is right. They should be indicted but the grand jury has spoken so be it.

Of course the grand jury was in DC so there is that. Hard to empanel anything but mentally ill TDS stage 4 fools up there.

Wonder what would have happened if the jurisdiction was OK city? Actually I don't wonder. That bunch of treasonous criminals would be on their way to prison.

Unfortunately for you the system also allows for one party to control the legislative and executive branches. Just spewing the words check and balances is meaningless

Most legal experts will tell you that a competent prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

Why does the Trump administration have so much trouble getting indictments?

Because they bring bullshit indictments...not because the left will not indict these people. The left has always been part of the population...and always has served on juries...including grand juries. THEY HAVE INDICTED PEOPLE WHO DESERVE TO BE INDICTED.

It is like the election nonsense.

Trump did not get elected back when Joe Biden won...because he did not get enough votes...not because the Democrats cheated.

They did get one positive vote to indict from the Grand Jury, not a trial, a Grand Jury, not one, and yet you, like Johnson, still think they are guilty?

Typical, be it an election, a Judge, a prosecutor, a Grand Jury, etc., if it doesn’t go the way MAGA wants it to go, it was crooked, they learned that from the Master and his Big Lie

They don’t care about the legal system, rather manipulating that system for their own political ends. It was never about prosecuting a case but rather drawing attention, controlling the dialogue, gaining the media’s attention before moving onto the next circus.

As Trump stated, even bad press is better than no press, indicting a Comey or James makes more of a splash than the lengthy legal process that follow. It also cost the victim financially and Trump has the taxpayer’s money
 
The six did nothing wrong. Telling them they should not obey illegal orders is not against the law, but a declaration of law. That is what you are told in the service. Repeating that is not a crime. Johnson is acting as Trump directs. He has not had an original thought in his career. He is the worst suck-up in Congressional history. He talks about Christianity and lies to the cameras for a living. He is what is wrong in America. Christianity has been captured by the rich and powerful.
