Lefties,.....do yourself a favor and dont get too worked up about this whole Iran thing. In the end nothing that comes from it is going to help you politically anyway. You aren't going to be allowed to vote. It has to be done to get the country straightened back out. Democrats across the country will lose the right to vote. Its for the good of the country and really,......people like that shouldn't be able to vote anyway so.......

I'm happy as can be for Iranians who are celebrating. I get that aspect of it.
But I'll say it again, and again, and again: I'm even against the next war. I've been against every military action in my lifetime - under Clinton, Bush, Obama & Trump.
People are conflating supporting the Iranian people w/ supporting this war, which is a false equivalency.
I didn't want this to happen either,........but IT DID. Once it does we have to be fluid in our thinking. Once that first bomb fell it means we now must go all out. The leaders of Iran " what's left of them" and they're military must be totally crushed now. And they will be. Just the way it must be. There can be no half stepping in war.

I agree w/ that. It's on now, so I can only hope for a quick & decisive resolution, and truly hope that a new regime begins that is much better for Iranians.
we can do two things
1) make sure we do everything we can to protect the lives of our military personnel
2) be critical of how we abuse the war powers act and treat 47 year old hostilities as "imminent"

Anyway, this particular war will be named even more strangely than "The War of Jenkins' Ear." It will almost certainly be known as "The War to Keep Two Shitheads Out of Prison"...or something very close to that.
THAT is what this war is about...and that will continue to be the case during the next month or so...even if it escalates to a world-wide conflict involving huge numbers of thermonuclear weapons being used.
We've got two guys who should not be in power and who may well end up in prison if not retained in office...and it seems that both feel their chances of being "retained in office" are better if they are wartime presidents.
