Anybody else notice the DOW is now down YTD?

The point is everyone can shop wisely.... Prices fluctuate all the time and it did need to happen.... Quit being so stubborn....
And you can shop for sales or change brands the price is still about the same.
It was $9.99 last Dec. and now over $20 a can even on sale.
Again my point is A lot of people drink coffee and the price increase because of Trumps Tariffs is hurting a lot of them sales or not.

So, I like to pay less money at the gas pump.
You should not be,
I shouldn't be paying less at the pump??
and it was Trump's mistakes
What "mistakes"?
that led to Biden having to bring down gas prices.
Biden didn't do anything; Biden was a vegetable (and still is!)
The Autopen operator(s) caused gas prices to skyrocket for about 4/5's of its term. Gas prices only came down again just in time for the 2024 presidential election (not a coincidence).

Gas prices right now (in my area) are still roughly 30 cents lower than the lowest that they ever were during about 4/5's of the Autopen's term. -- In a few weeks, the military operation in Iran will be complete. In a few weeks after that, gas prices will come back down to where they were before.

As long as the war continues with bombs and missiles and destruction, the market will not go back up.

Today was not back 'up' in a serious way. An earlier reading of $118 a barrel is but a harbinger of what could be.
Apparently, you're too stupid to realize what you shouldn't talk about, lol.

I love this part, lmfao "An earlier reading of $118 a barrel is but a harbinger of what could be." I only wonder why Jakey didn't learn hsi shinny new word years ago. Oil hit over $133 a barrel and stayed over $100 dollars a barrel for well over a month during Biden's nightmare. Gas prices haven't even hit Biden's average yet.

When we see high oil and gas prices, we should see it as a harbinger of what could be if we ever elect another libtard. That's an accurate statement and a real concern.

Plus reading comments like this one from JPP's top simpleton instantly made me think of being 'unburdened by what has been,' lol. Not sure why, it just hit my funny bone.

I can't see Legina the Snitch Bitch's post, but am curious why stability is your enemy? The stock market and businesses in general all love stability.
I am buying put options, which pay off if the S&P 500 go down. I also have investments in a broad stock market mutual fund that pays off if the stock market goes up. If there is no movement at all with the stock market, I end up not making money from the stock market going up, and losing the money I paid for the put options.

If the stock market goes down a lot, I make so much money from the stock options, it more than makes up for the losses on the stocks. If the stock market goes up a lot, I make so much money from the stocks going up, it more than makes up for the losses from the stock options(though I would have made even more money had I not bought the stock options). But there is a mid band of stability where I lose money. It gets even worse if we have high inflation, which means breaking even is losing money.

And it shows in your ability to write, spell, use correct punctuation, and convey articulate thoughts.

Sadly FatLame and Toxic have nothing to add to the discussion, so are trying desperately to deflect attention away from Trump's floundering economy to make it all about them. It's not working.

@Walt and Mr. Owl get a lot of credit for being gutsy in this kind of bear market. If it were up to me, all of our investments would be in a bear- and waterproof box buried in the backyard.
With inflation coming, money buried in the backyard will lose value.

There are no 100% safe investments. There is no place to even store wealth that is 100% safe.

That you are thinking about it is a good sign. It is the people who think that things are safe that in the real trouble.

I'm prepared for the Apocalypse and am all stocked up on TP and ammo.
