The Republican Party’s Nazi Problem Is Getting Worse. It Should Care

In a world spiraling into war, with AI rising and jobs falling, it’s easy to miss the little things — like a spate of young Republicans praising Hitler.

Not so long ago, hugging Hitler was one of those lines you just didn’t cross in a decent democracy, and for good reason: fascism, the Second World War and genocide. Murdering millions of humans should never inspire admiration.

But that’s what’s been happening with increasing regularity, revealed by a recent string of unhinged text chains revealed among young Republican leaders. This isn’t an outlier or a one-off. It’s a pattern and a problem.

Last week, the Miami Herald revealed the contents of an extensive group chat started by the secretary of Miami-Dade County’s Republican Party, for conservative students at Florida International University. The chat quickly degenerated into a cesspool of racism, violent fantasies, and Hitler-admiration. The n-word was used over 400 times, including in ruminations on the best ways to murder African Americans (curb-stomping and crucifixion were mentioned by one allegedly pro-life member of the chat).

An entire thread dedicated to Nazi fallacies. Lame.

I must have missed Guano's post condemning this guy:

Overview of Project 2025

Project 2025 is a policy framework associated with Donald Trump's administration, outlining a conservative vision for governance. It includes various proposals, some of which have been implemented since Trump returned to the White House.

Key Features Related to Iran
  • Foreign Policy Focus: Project 2025 emphasizes a strong stance against Iran, viewing it as a significant threat due to its nuclear ambitions and support for terrorism.
  • Military Action: The project supports decisive military actions to counter Iranian aggression, which aligns with recent U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and military targets.
  • Regime Change: A central theme is the encouragement of regime change in Iran, promoting the idea that the Iranian people should overthrow their government.
Lies. Go read Project 2025. Stop making shit up.

Trump put enormous pressure on Iran during his first term he had them broke to the point they could not pay their proxies. That was before project 2025 was written. But nice try
Not even a nice try. Project 2025 doesn't even mention Iran except in passing. It sets no policy or procedure to follow with Iran.

Unlike these Democrat idiots, I actually read the thing.

They are making shit up again.
