Before his acting career, Chuck Norris was a dominant martial arts champion, holding the World Professional Middleweight Karate champion title for six consecutive years (1968–1974) and retiring undefeated. He held a competitive record of 183-10-2, won numerous championships including the All-American Karate Championship (1966, 1967, 1968), and was the first person voted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame.

True story: I once bought a roll of sandpaper, labeled it "Chuck Norris Toilet Paper" and gave it to my brother in law, before he was my brother in law... He's kept the danged thing on the back of his toilet (now my sister's) ever since.
