Dude starts struggling with CBP, he was armed. They start taking him down, one sees his gun and strips it very quickly,
the guy had a round in the chamber, it went off when the CBP did that. (into the street)
Those guns are known for doing that.
Less than a second later Pretti goes for the gun that's no longer there and they unloaded into him.
They didn't do it because of him going for the gun, though. They did it because they heard a shot and then someone called "gun".
So they were already in motion by the time he went for his gun that wasn't there.
