YOU GO JOE!!!👍🏼

Hmmmmmm...... Should I point out the obvious similarities between what he just described and what trump is either engaging in, or telling the world he plans to engage in...?

Greenland, anyone?

Venezuela?

Iran?

Cuba?

🤔
Actually, Biden had NOTHING to do with that plant being in the US or Phoenix whatsoever.

The site was chosen before he became President, and nothing Biden did while in office had any impact on the plant's construction or location.

Biden may have claimed credit, but he did nothing. Typical Biden. Plagiarizes other's work and takes credit for himself.

How so much bullshit can come out of someone so little and small is beyond me...

When someone denied reality that everyone sees, even after they get their nose rubbed in it, is the sure sign of a weak mind.

Just like trump does.

I would say you're just like trump but you'd incorrectly take it as a compliment.

Post up all the rah rah from Biden you want.

Biden wanted to force TSMC to use union labor. TSMC says they can't get enough qualified workers so they wanted to import 500 of their own from Taiwan. Biden refused.

Basically, Biden offered $6.6 billion towards a plant worth well over $50 billion and then tossed all sorts of the usual Democrat bullshit on the company like forced union hires in a Right to Work state, regulatory nonsense, and restrictions on general employment. The result was TSMC got hamstrung until Biden was kicked out of office at the end of his term.

Nothing in any of your sources blamed Biden or any of his policies for construction delays, cost overruns, qualified labor shortages etc.

Aamof, they were blaming the problems on Taiwanese mgmt and lack of coordination between to affiliated companies.

But you'd obviously rather believe and side with Taiwan (or even China if they were involved) over American workers if you could use it to smear Biden and/or the Democrats.

It's also obvious that you hate America too. Otherwise you wouldn't live with your head up trump's ass 24/7/365 as he tries to destroy us. .

One of the reasons TSMC was building in Arizona is it is a Right To Work state. That meant TSMC was free to hire non-union labor at non-union wages and rules, something many Asian companies have sought to do when building in the US. They know full well if they let a strong union in they get uncompetitive labor costs . It is one of the things that killed the auto industry in Detroit.

So, in typical Asian fashion, they simply slow played the build until Biden was gone and there was a President that wasn't going to force union workers on the company.

China was originally very backward in the field of chip manufacturing. This led to US sanctions, as the US believed these sanctions would force China to accept its terms.

However, this approach by the US government is unlikely to be effective. It effectively forces China to improve its chip manufacturing technology. Furthermore, due to the complexities of international trade, it's impossible to completely prevent chips from flowing into the Chinese market through the black market.

What's the point of chip sanctions? China rarely manufactures chips to begin with, so no matter how much the US government sanctions China, China won't lose anything. This is easy to understand, because China didn't manufacture chips before, so what could it possibly lose?!

This brings us back to what I often say: Americans have very little understanding of China. Americans simply fantasize that "as long as sanctions are imposed, the Chinese economy will collapse, Chinese society will descend into chaos, and the Chinese people will rebel against the government." There's an implicit assumption here: that Americans genuinely believe the Chinese government is an authoritarian dictatorship, like an alien descending from space to control all Chinese people.

What Americans don't understand is that China's political system, a government led by the CCP, is itself composed of Chinese people, used to solve the various problems China faces. Your blockades, sanctions, or any other hostile actions against them are merely presenting them with a new test, making these Chinese people understand more clearly what they should do. There will be no "anti-government movement due to economic collapse" scenario. What will actually happen is "the need for government intervention to manage society even more due to economic collapse"—if an economic collapse truly occurs.

All those explanations for "why China hasn't collapsed" are considered false propaganda by Americans because they contain praise for the CCP (although I personally believe the CCP deserves praise, for obvious reasons). Americans are dismissive of China's development, but they cannot explain why China, a previously poor agricultural country, is now building nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, except by attributing it to "stolen technology."

Biden was to blame.

:rofl2:

You never cease to amaze with your bullshit links.

This (from your link) is supposed to be a negative critique of Biden's quality as our leader???

Are you trying to say you hate American workers so badly that it angers you when a leader stands up for their rights???

You is eff'd up, boy.🤪

No, what they tried to do, was import untrained TAIWANESE workers in place of trained American workers, then bypass American worker safety laws and cut corners on US building codes.

Then the first time American workers died after a roof collapsed on them, MAGA a-holes would be screaming

BRANDON!! BRANDON!! BRANDON!!!

Fuck that .

And now you're gleefully happy as can be that the US employees there are currently working in a building that used shoddy, hurried construction practices performed by foreigners, all allowed by sleazeball.trump.

Wow.

What a great 'Murican you are.

Reality, truth and fact mean nothing to Terry if he has to give Biden credit or blame Trump.

it is undeniable that the Biden admin played the key part in getting this project going.

As you say, Terry saying 'but there were delays' and then trying to blame them on Biden and pretend the project was dead until Trump, is just stupid spin by a stupid person.

No, I'm hating on useless unions that drive employers to leave the fucking country rather than meet their outrageous demands. There are times and places where unions had and have a purpose. For the most part, today, they are just a unnecessary layer of bullshit on workers and a net drain on their paychecks.

That's why outside government and some profession trade unions, they are losing membership faster than the Titanic going down.

Unions and worker's rights. What an oxymoron that is.

In your above example you have Biden saying he was "making it easier to empower workers by making it easier to join a union." Biden was lying by omission. What he didn't say was he wanted unions to be able to use "card check" voting rather than secret ballot so union leaders and organizers could identify workers who didn't want to join along with strongarm workers in to voting for a union. He didn't say how what he wanted was essentially once you join you can never leave. He wanted to remove restrictions on unions doing political shit even if a good portion of their membership was against it.

It's you that's fucked up. Unions, not all but many, even most, are a bad deal for workers today.

Garbage ☝🏼

You hate unions for the same reason every other Repugnant hates them.... because they are aligned with the Democrats.

Plain and simple.

If they embraced and were embraced by the right you'd be all for them.

No, I don't. I despise unions when they manipulate and use their members and dues for personal and political gain.

For example, unions overwhelmingly give political contributions to Leftist and Democrat politicians while only about 60% of their membership identify as Democrats.

That means unions and their leadership are ignoring the political leanings of nearly 50% of their members.

That's just one way unions totally fuck over their members. This is particularly true of labor and government unions. Trade unions are generally better at not doing that.

Unions have not been needed since the 1930s.

Unions have not been needed since the 1930s.
There are some unions that are needed. Up through about the 80's mining in the US was done by companies that were, in a word evil. They had company towns, company stores, company everything. Workers were often put in a position where they became chattel of the company because of that. I can see unions in that situation.

Some mining unions got powerful enough to be equally evil. For example, the United Mine Workers during WW 2 would call strikes and demand massive wage increases. The leadership didn't give a shit that the US was involved in a global war. FDR ended up nationalizing the mines, arresting the union leaders, and putting troops to make sure the mines ran. The workers got paid, as they should have, but the union leadership became criminals because they put personal greed ahead of national security and priorities.

Well, I thought that company store and company town stuff went away in the 1930s.
Monopolization seems to be the problem with a lot of that.

It still exists to an extent today.

Two examples of what amount to company towns. They aren't as virulent as they were 50 years ago, but they are still company towns. Notice how the homepages for both towns look identical. That's because Freeport-McMoRan owns both for all intents.

You mean when they behave like MAGA Republicans.
For example, unions overwhelmingly give political contributions to Leftist and Democrat politicians while only about 60% of their membership identify as Democrats.
Just like I said.

You hate unions because their goals for the protection of workers' rights align with the Democrats' agenda and you hate Democrats.

If it were the other way around and they aligned with MAGA to benefit trump in spite of 40% of their membership being Democrats, you'd say tough shit.

So, tough shit.
That means unions and their leadership are ignoring the political leanings of nearly 50% of their members.
And your President is ignoring the political leanings of over 50% of the country.

Your attitude: Tough shit.
That's just one way unions totally fuck over their members. This is particularly true of labor and government unions. Trade unions are generally better at not doing that.
Same way all politically based organizations fuck over some people while benefitting others.

Deal with it.

You mean when they behave like MAGA Republicans.

No, I mean union leaders who are usually Democrats. As an example, a friend works for Raytheon. There's a union. Most of the workers won't join. The union leader at the plant called a strike during contract negotiations simply to make points with the national leadership and move up in the union ranks. A lot of the workers quit the union over that one.

I'd say the same thing. Are you union? If so, ask your shop steward about your "Beck rights." See what his reaction to that is.
So, tough shit.

And your President is ignoring the political leanings of over 50% of the country.

Democrats do that to. Hell, they ignore American citizens right now in favor of illegal aliens.

Sounds like a MAGA stunt

Democrats do that to. Hell, they ignore American citizens right now in favor of illegal aliens.
MAGA ignores American citizens right now in favor of their culture war against undocumented immigrants with no thought to whether they provide benefits, many of whom do.

You people just hate brown foreigners.
