In about two weeks, the war will end…

Ya no matter who has the reins in Iran when the US tucks tail and runs, Trump will claim the new leadership is great and it was a success.
QPeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
You would disagree regardless.
This current Ayatollah was considered by all the intelligence agencies to be far more hardline than his father. it was his Father who put in place the Fatwa saying Iran COULD NOT pursue a nuclear weapon and that is the highest law of the land that cannot be contested.
Which current Ayatollah? They seem to have a habit of disappearing.
There was some hope in the intelligence community that when the old Ayatollah died (he was in his 80's) the country was going to move into a more conciliatory direction, following the path of most of the other ME countries.
That did not happen.
Instead with this new Ayatollah it seems the country has been locked into decades more move to an even more hardline movement. And that was before he saw the US kill his entire family.
You blaming Trump for that?
Don't you wish you were not so stupid?

I'd say about 2-4 weeks, but yes, the military operation is winding down.

Why continue after the objectives have been met?

The Ayatollah's regime has been largely decimated. Iran's nuclear capabilities have been largely decimated. Iran's air force and navy have been decimated. Iran's missile program has been largely decimated.

Because it's better to solve issues without resorting to violence/destruction.

I highly doubt that the Ayatollah's regime wanted to be decimated, wanted their nuclear and missile capabilities decimated, wanted their air force and navy decimated, wanted their main source of income held hostage, and wanted the people they cruelly rule over to have hope of a successful revolution, etc.

The Ayatollah's regime has no means of controlling the Strait of Hormuz. The only thing stopping anybody from sending oil tankers through it atm is fear itself.

Who is 'them'? I think you mean Iran when you say 'they', but who is 'them'? The USA? How did Iran "win territory"? I have no idea what you're even trying to say here.
How has Trump made America any safer when by his own admission the US can obliterate Irans nuclear weapons program for years, but Iran is so capable that just a few short months after that Trump is saying Iran was a week or two from being able to deliver a nuke to the US homeland?

That speaks to a impotence of the US actions and that 'obliteration' is largely meaningless.

It does not bother me. Its just interesting. I kinda like how interested you are. I am glad its entertaining you.

I do find it interesting you enjoy avoiding the topic.

You heard it, about two weeks.

So Iran refused to negotiate, so we are cutting and running?

How does that count as a win? Why were we negotiating? So we give them what they want, and leave?

In fact, they took ownership of the Stright of Hormuz in this war…. And they are ok letting them keep it, so they won territory in the war.

They won something.

I'm pleased with Operation Epic Fury And what they've accomplished.... My only complaint is that this didn't happen years ago as it should have...
SO you are leaving it open ended to see what The PP does. I understand. Would you support ground troops?

LI

Like I said, I post from beach. I like to read and swim, my wife likes to read. I take breaks from both and will post as I see fit.

Not sure why you are so interested in my personal life... but to each their own. When you post, what are you doing otherwise? Just sitting at a computer? Sad.

I really hope your day is better than just sitting at a computer.
which beach you at?

Im stuck here in central Indiana on a dreary day... ho hum.

I've already answered that question... I think it would be risky , but I trust our military to make the right decision... (So much for the beach I guess....lol)

You think its the military who gets to make that decision?
