I do not believe even this Senate would confirm her.

IN fact it might be a gift to the Senate Republicans because they are itching for an issue to put some difference between them and The PP.

I wouldn't say that Bondi was "absolutely horrible" by any means (she actually was quite decent at the part of her job that mattered most), but from the very beginning, she wasn't my preferred choice either. She did much better than any AG from Trump's first term, THAT'S for sure (but that's not saying much).

The RINOs in the Senate won't allow any of my preferred choices to become AG (such as Ken Paxton or Harriet Hageman). It'll, once again, be someone sub-optimal because the candidate needs to be able to pass Senate confirmation, but that's just the way it is.

Thanx for the shaming Miss Marble. Like shot me....listen, the US Senate has confirmed every single nominee Trump has elected. As of early 2026, during his second term, President Trump has had a notably high number of nominations withdrawn, totaling 35 such actions. While all 2025 cabinet-level nominees were eventually confirmed, Trump's administration has experienced a high rate of withdrawn, returned, or unconfirmed nominations, with approximately 150 positions unconfirmed by the Senate in August 2025...I rest my case.

it is a real difficult task as Trump can only choose from the most stupid and sycophantic of his supporters as no one smart would get any where near the job as there is a 100% chance of failure and then getting blamed and fired in the future.

Trump will only put someone in the job willing to redo all his revenge prosecutions. Re-indict Comey, James, etc. Sure loser cases unlikely to not even make it into court. and then Trump, unable to accept those failures as his fault, will blame and fire them.

I would like to see Steven Miller (not a lawyer but runs a legal attack org for Trump) get the job, but Miller is too smart to do that.
