is site slow or account throttled?

Site is back and forth. I may have to upgrade memory on the new server to ensure speed.
It's slow. There's been an increase of people double posting, which usually indicates they tried to post twice before the site caught up.

I'm also on defendingthetruth.com which uses the same software and it has a similar problem although not quite as bad.

It may be the memory is not installed in the correct slots. That is critical to speed.

The site is running very slow. This is most of the time. I'm getting wait bars on the right corner for most every action on the site. Sometimes the browser shows a long wait for the page to appear, almost timing out. There are some rare times (light load?) when it runs at normal speed.

The issue is that I relied on LiteSpeed to replace RAM, but this is causing issues due to memory swap at high forum usage times. Using disk memory as swap files is much slower and after running the free -h command on the terminal I see a higher level of swap space than I would want.

Anyway, I am doubling the RAM, and increasing disk space as well, this will take about 1 hour of downtime to do, but will not require a migration so it should be down for about an hour at about 1 AM MDT (3 AM EDT). I will update this thread with the date (hopefully tonight, but I am not 100% sure).

This has been my experience as well (for today).

Ah. Insufficient RAM and excess swapping would definitely cause this. Thank you for buying the extra memory. That stuff ain't cheap these days! Looking forward to the improved performance!
