Your comment is a bit of jumble The implicit rejection is the suggestion by Trumpers that the Pope's moral authority over Christians in this instance is tainted because he declined to extend his criticism to non-Christians. This has been the point from the beginning.

Christie what would you do to prevent the World's number one sponsor of terrorism from acquiring nuclear tipped ICBMs?

I don't care about how Catholics elect a pope. But I also don't think he has the moral authority to comment as the pope on political issues. It's not like the pope has an intelligence service advising him on how close to nuclear weapons Iran is. We don't have any elected politicians elected by 105 votes commenting on geopolitics. The Pope needs to stick with preaching the gospel.

I don't accept the trump definition of the world's number one sponsor of terrorism.

If the Pope criticized Trump on matters of the gospel perhaps he might have a point. But on matters of geopolitics he is about as informed as a Holleywood actress.
