Not a fan Gerrymandering, but the Republicans really f’ed themselves.

If you were smarter, Terry, you'd realize it's not the states but the Electoral Votes that matter.

Trump didn't win 2024 because he had over 77M die-hard MAGAts voting for him simply because there aren't 77M die-hard MAGAts. There's only about 45M Republicans and many of them are very unhappy with the Dementia Don's handling of the economy and his war in Iran.

Over 60M of the 155M voters in 2024 are Independents and they are very unhappy with your Orange Jesus.

Obviously the 45M Democrats don't like him either. :rofl2:
If you were smarter you'd realize that every state gets two senators... The state vote percentages don't change just because of the change in congressional districts. This will have ZERO effect on the presidency. But it will have a big effect on the make up of Congress.

This is more about the House, not the Senate even though it might affect the Senate.

At the moment, all MAGA morons should be smart enough to understand the Republicans control both the Executive and Legislative branches with a 2/3's majority in the Judicial branch.

Due to your Orange Jesus's multiple fuck-ups, the odds are good the Republicans will lose control of the House, possibly the Senate, are setting themselves up for losing the WH and that SCOTUS, while 2/3s conservative, is only 1/3 MAGA moron.

Doing the bad thing to protect against that bad thing is still doing the bad thing...

The reality is: "We can do bad stuff better!" isn't a defense, it is a confession, and apparently a campaign promise now.
Sometimes you have to do the bad thing, to prevent worse things. They started it, the Democrats had to finish it.

You need both to get anything done. If there are more Republican senators and they are from states where the Democrats are essentially locked out of competition by redistricting the Republicans hold the edge. They can set up things in Red states to avoid letting Democrats elect senators there. The Democrats in fewer states can do the same thing.

So, the end result is the Democrats hold the house, the Republicans hold the Senate, and gridlock continues.

It's just stupidity on politician's parts in trying to play a game of one-upmanship on their rivals.

Only extremists believe that's true. What we need are people in Congress who can avoid taking extremist views and seek to hash things out in the interests of their constituents first and their party second. As your Orange Jesus keeps proving, MAGAts rule by decree and will actively punish Americans for disagreeing.

That's how we got to where things are in Virginia. The Left has a long, long, long history of doing this sort of stupidity. When the Law of Unintended Consequences hits, they're blindsided by it and after the stun of defeat wears off they walk away as if nothing had happened looking for another idiot idea to force down everyone's throats.

Damn, not even 24 hours and the Lobster has already been thrown out as unconstitutional...

It's an injunction, it could be overturned - but looking doubtful Spangergers plot will be allowed to go into effect. Turns out you can't actually vote to disenfranchise half the electorate....

Oh, and Texas has perfect wording? Texas didnt even put it up for a vote, the GOP Legislature just passed it

This is supposedly the objection raised by the GOP appealing the vote, we’ll see, but if you are going to start blaming someone you can start with Trump, he began the whole debacle

But don’t worry, Florida is next, it will balance off Virginia, hell, being Florida, they might even ban Democrats from voting
can you ever comment on anything without saying "But Trump"

So you are saying two wrongs make a right?

It is not stupidity when the reds did the redistricting? Is it only stupid when Dems respond? Good grief, you are pathetic.
The Senate is in play, too.

It's typical of MAGAts to never accept responsibility for their actions. While I blame Democrats too for playing the gerrymandering game, for you to hold your Orange Jesus faultless, much less MAGAtry as whole, is dishonorable.

That caution is exactly what someone should have said to Trump when he began demanding this extreme mid cycle gerrymandering.

He believed only the magat States would do it and the Dem's would be too weak and too concerned with 'tradition' and 'sticking to the right thing' and that only the Magat states would get gains.

He wished for that and woke up all the Blue States in ways we have not see before. Finally you see the majority of voters in Blue States saying 'fuck norms and take the gloves off and if they hit us once, we hit them twice back'.

I agree it is getting bad, politicians are picking their voters not voters picking politicians, Florida is next

But the ultimate guilt rests on the Supreme Court and their limp wrist decisions on gerrymandering, like Citizen United, additional dumb decisions leading to a mockery of elections today. Trump sought to take advantage and it backfired
This is all a function of having a right leaning, Federalist Society, Supreme Court.

It was not that many general elections back where it seemed a big gap of about 4M votes that the Dems needed to exceed republicans by to be sure to win. Going into Biden first election everyone was saying the Dems needed 8m or more to ensure a win. And up and up it goes where Dems and their supporters conceded 'we need to win huge' just to ensure their win will over come the structural advantages the republicans keep being given.

Why?

Because the Supreme Court is doing their best to try and ensure the country does not become minority majority run by Democrats and their voters and to lock in a path for victory for Republicans no matter how many less votes they get.

And that is core to all this fighting in America as extreme Gerrymandering means Politicians who campaign to the farthest extremes of their voter base whereas areas not gerrymandered so badly Politicians need to pull from both sides of the divide and thus be more moderate.

A trivial and stupid comment i suspect you will soon call "satire" when i expose it.

A pacifist can live his life a pacifist, believing harming others to be bad, and be a good person.

A pacifist can defend himself and his family against someone who tries to kill them and in the use of violence against that offended the pacifist IS NOT doing a bad thing and it would be stupid of you to say he was.

You can only defend your position in a world of absolutes and we do not live in that world.

The reality is "we can defend ourselves if you put our existence at risk" IS A DEFENSE. A very valid one.
