According to documents published by The Intercept Friday, Patel admitted to having been arrested on two occasions — once for public intoxication as a minor while an undergraduate in Virginia, and once for public urination while out drinking in New York City when he was a law student.

He detailed both incidents in a letter submitted for his personnel file when he was a Miami-Dade County, Florida public defender after being asked by his employer to explain the past arrests because he had disclosed them in his application for admission to the Florida Bar.

This just proves you can turn your life around and make something good of yourself.

Because of course J. Edgar Boozer has a history.

I haven't seen any adult chug beer like that since those college frat parties.

Dude when Dallas Stars won the Stanley cup they had a party at Vinnie Paul's (heavy metal band member) house They were so drunk they threw the Stanley cup trophy into the swimming pool. The only problem was it bounced off the pool deck before entering the pool. The damage was significant. Vinnie Paul was a next door neighbor of my brother.

Who cares? Why is this relevant now?

Quite frankly, I'd rather deal with someone like Patel with a few black marks on his record over the years than some lily white, never did a thing wrong, always perfect on paper, ivy league, punched every ticket perfectly type any day.

The later are usually either total shit or total 'throw you to the wolves' types who would do anything to keep their record perfect. They don't know defeat or failure in the least and when confronted with it are all-too-willing to sacrifice anyone or thing to avoid it. They're on the edge of evil and you never want to be the one under their command.

An occasional fuck up, the guy that will take a chance, the one that is more concerned about he and his men succeeding or avoiding disaster is far better than some picture-perfect corporate climber any day.

It all shows a lifelong alcohol problem, which his recent behavior shows is still there.
No, it doesn't. Now if you can show me that he, on a near daily basis, is a drunk you might have something.

Let me put it another way, and I really don't know either of these guys beyond what they've done on the public record. I'd rather work for a Cash Patel than a John Kerry any day of the week. Oh, I'll add this: I wouldn't want to work for Trump either.
