30 individual states have a bigger GDP than Iran. Arizona, where I'm from has twice the GDP of Iran, and it ranks 15th.

If it were up to me, I would order the Iranian economy wrecked. Pummel all the cement factories into rubble. Bomb every power substation in the country into the ground. Send in some spec ops types to destroy all the major transmission lines. Go harbor to harbor and sink everything larger than a rowboat. Take down every major bridge in the country then crater every road leading into Iran for miles.

Let's see how Iran acts after there's little food, no electricity, no serious construction materials, no modern communications, and the country is reduced to using donkey carts.
