Wesley Branch Rickey(December 20, 1881 – December 9, 1965) was an American professional baseball catcher, manager, sports executive, and team owner. He was instrumental in breaking the baseball color line by signing black player Jackie Robinson. He also created the framework for the modern minor league farm system, encouraged the major leagues to add new teams through his involvement in the proposed Continental League, introduced the batting helmet, and created the standard 20-80 scouting scale. He was posthumously elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1967.
 
I love this nation

I love the idea of the more perfect union the founders spoke of

When there is something unfair about the nation I love

Jackie acted the perfect non resistance pillar of decency

When he performed the fans loved his results

The white people cheered

Because Mr Roberson delivered

In time the fans got pissed at how some people and fans treated him

In time the fans were screaming for him to fight back

They were becoming like that little boy who Mr Ricky saw batting and trying to bat just like Mr Robinson

Admiring the talent instead of pretending because he was black that he couldn’t deliver anything to society


People get tired of unfairness

Their eyes clear their mind start thinking again

They then remember their souls


Get ready for some soul searching

America is already getting their souls woke
