But this forum isn't dying and seems unmoderated so I rate it pretty good.....WE all agree the opposing side is horrible so we have some common ground. But this tweet proves who the craziest mofhfkka on earth is.........I especially loved his Easter tweet using the f word...

It's interesting, this board has essentially evolved from a political discussion board to a soap opera. The policy disagreements rarely matter anymore it's about the relationships, tribes and feuds.

There's no bench because no one new would join this. At the same time most posters here are fully invested so it will last as long as people are still breathing.

The Back and forth of the "factions" is rather draining.

Correct. This board is a radical picture of where America stands right now.

If you want an echo chamber, ask Mr. Tiny Penis where to go. He is working hard to take JPP down.

Penisfish, the only radical picture here is how often you circle back to Dutch’s anatomy like it’s your North Star. Nobody is taking down JPP, the paranoia is doing that job for you. The Reaper doesn’t need to swing when someone is this committed to sawing off their own branch.

I have been hearing that the forum is dying since I first got here. It is still chugging on. And still better (most of the time) than other forums I have tried.

It depends on how you want to define dying. You've been here a long time so you remember what it was first like. Yes there was drama of course, but there was also some actual discussion that occurred. And there was more diversity of thought, I'm thinking of people like yourself. I believe you are left-leaning but never tribal or full on partisan. You held views that spanned the spectrum. That's changed on here. It's no longer about political discussions at its core it's about the relationships, the rivalries etc. It's more WWE.

When the Rate Bush Board was founded most people were using AOL and they were pushing political forums like this. Today people discuss politics on Facebook, Twitter, Bluesky, Reddit, TikTok etc. There's a reason a board like this hasn't had a new poster in over a decade. So many more options are available. I'm not disrespecting Boomers but I'm just saying non Boomers aren't going to Google and typing in find a political forum.

So this forum will be here as long as the posters are still alive. But there is no bench. There is no next generation. It's the same 20 to 25 folks or so who will ride it out.
