Band arrested after blocking LA freeway to perform

LOS ANGELES – A rock band will have to face the music after blocking a Los Angeles freeway and performing atop its trailer. California Highway Patrol spokesman Rick Quintero said a big box van decorated with Imperial Stars' logo stopped on the southbound U.S. 101 near Sunset Boulevard at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, blocking four of the five lanes.

The driver took the keys and fled in another car, then three musicians climbed on top of the van and began to perform.

Quintero said they were arrested and the truck was finally towed away around noon after causing a mile-long traffic jam.

assholes...i hope no one buys their music or pays to listen to it...what if someone had a real emergency and this intentionally jam caused their deaths...how many people lost money due to being late

how is it anyone can get as angry as zappa over someone disagreeing with what these kids did?

i wonder if zappa was not hiding behind anonymity on the web if he would say that? i wonder if zappa made those comments in the link i provided? i doubt it...

you have be a seriously disturbed person to get upset over someone not agreeing with what those kids did...helll...i didn't even call for retribution, but angry zappa believes i will take a shotgun to kids to chinese fire drill...which of course is the same thing as a 4 hour long, 1 mile long traffic jam

Zappa's frustrated with his life. He was the Fat Kid in grade school, mediocre grades, ugly and zit-faced in high school with no friends, community college, a virgin until aged 25, and now in a lousy career trying to emulate a Hollywood extra...

It's what allows you to pretend you didn't really post an angry rant about a bunch of kids playing music and inconveniencing some people while taking a unique approach to marketing themselves.

You may not know this Yurtsie, but an Ambulance comes with EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND SIRENS...meaning any Ambulance could EASILY get itself unstuck from any jam...after all, this was the 101 and not some dead end cul de sac.

You also might not know this Yurtsie, but I live in Houston, the 4th largest city in the country and am intimately acquainted with sitting in traffic...it's never bothered me before and it CERTAINLY wouldn't have bothered me if a free live music concert was included in my delay.

btw...I'm not angry, I just REALLY enjoy highlighting what an enormous douchebag you can be...hee hee hee

you've obviously never been in LA on the 101 with a mile long traffic jam....the amulance could not simply get out of the jam, in some spots the shoulders are not wide enough and even if the ambulance had to go on the shoulder their speed would be greatly reduced

i seriously can't believe you're saying their intentional traffic jam would not slow up an ambulance....wow...just wow
