For some reason, I thought the election was on Nov. 10, instead of Nov. 2. So I thought I had plenty of time to order my absentee ballot (has to be ordered 2 weeks in advance) when I figured out that I had just barely passed the deadline.

I've only ever voted in one federal election. First tuesday after first monday, not a set date. I think I knew that, I just never bothered to think about it.

Actually I didn't vote in the 2008 primary because someone entered my name as ONeal instead of O'Neal and they couldn't find me on the registry. I thought I must have done something wrong with registration. Nope, it was the government. Obama won a million percent of the vote in that primary, though, so it didn't really matter.
