Not exactly, the charges there are a little strange.

"Assange was originally sought for questioning in September in relation to accusations by two women in Sweden whose various claims include having sex with him that was not fully consensual. A prosecutor dropped the investigation, and then a more senior prosecutor reopened it after reviewing the evidence, but Assange has not been formally charged with any crime and denies any wrongdoing."

Obama doesn't appear to be doing much against massive leaks, it makes him look weak and ineffectual. The idea that he's behind freezing Swiss accounts seems laughable. The US is telling employees not to look, not actually doing anything.

Now this is insane!

COLUMBIA University students considering diplomacy careers are being warned to avoid linking to or posting online comments about secret US documents released by the WikiLeaks website.

A spokesman for the Ivy League school confirmed on Saturday that the Office of Career Services sent an e-mail to students at the School of International and Public Affairs.

The Nov 30 e-mail says an alumnus at the US State Department had contacted the office, saying the diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks were 'still considered classified.'

The e-mail said online discourse about the documents 'would call into question your ability to deal with confidential information.' Most federal government jobs require a background check.

WikiLeaks has been releasing a trove of sensitive US diplomatic cables over the past week. -- AP

I'm just wondering what people want Obama to do about it?

Assassinating him wouldn't look that good in front of a worldwide audience of billions.

Assange is out of his control and has already made available for download a whole host of the most sensitive 'secret' reports relating to Guantanamo, US military operations in Afghanistan involving large scale civilian deaths and possibly extremely sensitive documents relating to Bank of America and BP. This 1GB file has been widely downloaded but is currently heavily encrypted as an 'insurance' mechanism in case of unfortunate accidents or an unexpected trip in a CIA plane for a tour of America's shadow prison system.

Apparently Mr Assange isn't stupid.
 
I just read he has an insurance plan.

Hes got stuff he will release if he is arrested or killed.

I think he may be a damn smart man.
