You are incorrect. Businesses have already started adjusting payroll systems to the 2011 tax brackets.

They most certainly DO exist right now. How do we know what they are? We take the case of 'what happens if Congress does nothing'. THAT is how we know what the 2011 tax brackets currently are.

Above and beyond not allowing any changes in present tax rates, as the Republicans wanted, the Democrats are cutting even taxes more. Soc. Sec. in particular and some kind of favorable tax changes for students...

Again, you fucking moron.... I do NOT support the tax cuts WITHOUT the corresponding spending cuts. Which again, had you bothered to read what I wrote, I stated clearly that I think the highest brackets should be INCREASED at the end of the two years automatically.

Tax cuts are the easy part. They should come after the spending cuts, or at the very least they should happen simultaneously. It's fine to supporting tax cuts without accompanying spending cuts, but you can't do so while pretending to be a "deficit hawk."

You're the classic deficit peacock, nothing but show.

Bravo... the point is that the 2011 tax brackets DO exist today. They look EXACTLY like the 2000 tax brackets. Those tax brackets are in place. That is what we will get if nothing is done. Thus those are the CURRENT brackets for 2011.

As I said in 2001 and 2003... tax cuts can be used in the short term for stimulus. They are far more effective in terms of stimulus than the bullshit done by Obama/Pelosi/Reid. But in order to KEEP the cuts, they had to eventually cut spending (typically once the economy has recovered). Otherwise they should have raised the rates (or at least some of them).

But once again, you will ignore all of the above and continue projecting what you WANT to believe my position is so that you again can have a nice little straw man to attack.

They do not exist today any more that tax brackets for 2020 or 3020 exist today.....and they won't until the time gets here and laws are finalized and actually exist on 1/1 for that time.

I know your position. You support the very real tax cuts that will pass while you hope for imaginary spending cuts that never materialize. If you were an actual deficit hawk, you would insist on spending cuts before tax cuts (particularly with debt where it is) or at least simultaneous cuts to both. But, you're not.
