This is why more cops should be killed

see if you can follow this closely.....

cops are supposed to be trained......highly trained, right?????

so, if they can't tell the difference between a water nozzle or a gun, maybe their stupid asses shouldn't be in law enforcement.

And yet you still have a problem knowing the difference between a cock and a lollipop.

no shit everyone has a right to self defense. Cops can pull their weapons though and point them at you with far less justification. Again, this is obvious to everybody that isn't retarded.

great, we can put you in the column that has police officers as being first class citizens with more rights than regular citizens with second class rights.

BTW, STY, thanks for repping my post earlier, but it was mocking you, not USF, just so you know...

I've long held the belief that you are an opinionated arrogant asshole...well so am I. Does that make it wrong for me rep you because you're an opinionated arrogant asshole like me?

:clink:

Not at all, but I do believe in "informed repping." I am completely opposed to informed raping (surprise sex), however. And I agree with your assessment of me here. My marquees are kickass, however, which I assume is what prompted you to rep the post in question.

well, this is just a message board, not real life, so it should be taken with that grain of salt.

Irony? Only if you ignore the facts.

The person who called 911 said "the man appeared to have a "tiny six-shooter.""

Now a tiny six-shooter will kill someone dead as hell. And very little of the gun would be sticking out of a two handed grip. Probably just the barrel. Which, as it happens, looks very much like the end of a water nozzle. Unless you can see the entire nozzle, it would be tough to tell them apart.

And since the man was holding it in a two handed shooting stance, he presented an apparent threat to their lives.

I quess this isn't a threat to anyone!

Let's run a different scenario by the people who think the guy was clearly a genius level constitutional scholar exercising happy go lucky water fight mentality on witless cops.

What if the guy, noticing the cops had guns drawn on him, instead of taking a shooting stance after playing around with what apparently appeared and sounded like a small handgun, simply dropped his water delivery device down where the cops could find it then took some time to explain what the hell it was? Would he still be alive? Would the cops even have arrested him?

My bet is, if he had acted like any normal human being with more than two working brain cells he'd be alive and telling the story to his family while acting it out on the very same porch...

And STY, if you were surrounded by regular citizens holding their constitutionally protected weapons ready to fire who thought they were protecting their families, would you take a shooting stance with this same device in your hands? If they shot you, because they believed they were protecting their (or your) family would you still be writing this?

Cops aren't superhuman. And this "gentleman" was quite clearly a nominee for the Darwin Award.

see, you are making the same brain dead assumption that this guy saw the cops as everyone else is. how do we know he saw the cops? all you have is the police spokesman statement saying he pointed something at them, but NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING stating that he KNEW he was pointing something at police officers.

Using logic in a presentation to STY is a waste of time and energy.

Which changes nothing. Is there some perfect 20/20 back-vision that you have through another's eyes that makes you capable of seeing what the cops saw? The guy took a stance and pointed what was reported to them, sounded to them, and appeared to them as a weapon. What would you do if you were carrying your own constitutionally protected weapon and it was your family standing nearby after people shouted, "Oh my god! That guy has a gun!"?

I understand that you think cops overstep. I agree. But this was clearly a case of just plain felony stupid.

He shouldn't have been pointing it at ANYONE, you fucking idiot.

actually, yes I do. for 6 years as a Marine Air Traffic controller, I didn't have a luxury of second guessing my decisions or relying on government protection from prosecution if my decisions were wrong. I had to live and die by the choices I made. so yes, indeed, I can absolutely hold police officers to the same damn standard that I had to be held to.

He shouldn't have been pointing it at ANYONE, you fucking idiot.

Where in the article did it say that he pointed this:

Water_Nozzle.jpg

at the cops? It never even said in the article that he even knew they were there.

Again, as usual in these cases where conservatives jump to legalize nonselfdefense, you guys are just inventing details until your side is vindicated. This is why is is self-defense to kill any conservative.
