Lt. Col. Lakin Court Martial

Name the presidents from whom birth certificates were requested and those that complied with the requests.

lol...love the dishonesty...

the questions have been since he was running for office, but he just happens to win the presidency and now it must mean people are racist against a black president because they had an issue with his eligibility BEFORE office, he just happens to win and now its ONLY because he is president

truthers like you are just dumb

Just a reminder - you had called him a liar for saying that no Presidents before Obama had to.

What if all those born in HI get the same piece of paper if they request a copy of their BC?

Note this long form from another person born in HI in 1961. It's called a Certificate of Live Birth, just the same as the copy.

I don't see him calling him a liar. I think he's saying he is being intellectually dishonest. Basically calling him disingenuous.

Hawaii can't even find my friends birth record! They aren't very good at record keeping in that state! She doesn't know what she is going to do!

One is a certificate, the other is a "certification" and is different than the certificate in specific information. I'm sure you noticed differences including the hospital and doctor's name and sig.

Nigel said this:

"I think it's pretty extraordinary that you find nothing wrong with asking the first black president to produce something that no white president in modern history has been required to produce in order to prove that he belongs in the Oval Office. "

To which Yurt replied, "You're such a liar," and linked an article about McCain.

Ah, carry on then. I was talking about the quoted post. I don't want to speak for Yurt, he can explain what he meant then. I don't think Nigel is lying about that, although I do think it is intellectually dishonest to dismiss the fact that the original "birthers" were on the left and were after his opponent. That must be, according to Nigel, because America hates white people.

The reality is, questions about this began before he took office and were for both of the major candidates regardless of race.

God forbid if an American test-tube baby ever runs for president. Surely he/she wouldn't be a "natural-born citizen"!

He called me a liar.

And I'm not even being intellectually dishonest. First, Obama is president. To the extent there were questions regarding his eligibility, they have been resolved. Second, no one really questioned whether McCain was born and required him to produce his birth certificate to show that he was born where he claimed to have been born. The question was whether his undisputed Panamanian birth everyone agreed meant he was not a "natural born citizen." To answer that question you don't have to look to McCain's birth certificate.

Just a reminder - you had called him a liar for saying that no Presidents before Obama had to.

he is being dishonest by claiming this is solely about obama being president

i wouldn't expect a truther like you to see the truth though

its flat out dishonest to make this about just the presidency, it is dishonest because both mccain and obama were running, if mccain became president, nigel wouldn't have a pot to piss in, but since obama won, nigel dishonestly wants to make the birth issue solely because obama is a black president

so yes, he is a liar

No, it wouldn't. There is no constitutional mandate that says superior officers must be naturally born citizens. It's silly to try to stretch it there.

If that's the case and one has to obey their superior officer then Lt. Col. Lakin has to obey the orders of his superior. After all, Obama did not personally order Lakin to return to Afghanistan so whether or not Obama is a citizen doesn't really matter.

In other words I doubt Obama personally made the decision to return Lakin to Afghanistan. The decision was made by others and Lakin is obliged to obey the "others"; his superiors.

Do I have a case? :)

you are a liar

if this issue arose after he became president, you would have a point, unfortunately for you, this issue occurred while he was campaigning, his presidency is only incidental to the ONGOING controversy

you want to pretend no one questioned mccain's eligibility because all you have is the race card, you can't logical defend your position, so when all else fails.....

LOL

Look at you run away from what you really called him a liar for.

You can never stand by what you say; it's always moving, shifting, distracting.

Edit: And the questions were not the same for Obama and McCain. No one questioned where McCain was born.

LOL....yeah...so it was like totally different, it has NOTHING at all to do with eligibililty

man, why are you guys so desperate to make this a race issue? why can't you stick with facts instead of dishonestly turning this into

"you're a racist!!!!!!!"

there are so many facts out there that prove obama is eligible, was born in hawaii....you only make the issue worse with your race bait bullshit

watermark, it is absolutely not a birth certificate

It is a short-form birth certificate. "Certification of Live Birth" is a fancy name for "short-form birth certificate". You are attempting to create an artificial distinction by refusing to ever refer to a "short-form birth certificate" as a birth certificate, and pretending that only a "long-form birth certificate" can be called a birth certificate. You are failing. There are no situation in which the state of Hawaii would issue one of these to someone not born in the state of Hawaii.

the birth certificate is the long form, period. just like when you have to get a passport, the COLB will not suffice, you have to produce a certified copy of the original birth certificate in order to get a passport....

so obviously the government thinks the original is more valid...any more questions?

Wrong. The short-form birth certificate issued by the state of Hawaii has all of the elements required by the state department for issuance of a passport:

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

"The certificate has all the elements the State Department requires for proving citizenship to obtain a U.S. passport: "your full name, the full name of your parent(s), date and place of birth, sex, date the birth record was filed, and the seal or other certification of the official custodian of such records." The names, date and place of birth, and filing date are all evident on the scanned version, and you can see the seal above."

nice try...go and read WHY i called him a liar

but i don't expect you to ever admit you're wrong or be truthful when anything i say because you are obsessed with trying to get me in a gotcha moment and obsessed with trying to catch me a lie

too bad you fail at both

42 months is the most he can get. Since he pleaded guilty to some of the charges sentencing guidelines are shortened even for that time. My guess is he'll get 12 to 18 months in Leavenworth.

:palm:

its says right on the form it is ONLY prima facie, it is not, nor will it ever be a copy of the original

it is not a birth certificate, it is merely a certifacation of what is ON the birth certificate, if it was the birth certificate it would have ALL the information, but it is does not

how you cannot grasp this simple concept is beyond me

tell me what the difference is between "certification" and "certificate"

thanks
