You think it is stagnate, I don't, but I am a woman who was very much affected by the changes. I can now vote and own land, just like you.

Those "changes" are called amendments. That's not what is lib-tard is talking about.

By the way, which party supported women suffrage and which one opposed it? :)

The parties have changed over the years, neither stands for what they once did. I was a Republican myself at one time, then the party went the way of the Jesus Freaks.

said rights were granted to women after being granted to black men - by decades even though women worked hard to get said rights for black men

I am not only not a Jesus Freak, but quite atheistic....and change from Dem to Rep after LBJ.....actually, because of LBJ....
 
Doesn't change the fact that in 1979 the Moral Majority started their assault on the GOP, you can deny it all you like, it is a fact. It wasn't until lately that they have started to lose their grip on the party, but for many years, it was the Party of God.

You don't pay attention very well do you, I am not a Democrat. I have no party affiliation, nor do I want one. They all suck.

You are a rare bird in the GOP, pat yourself on the back!

Women's rights for one, which party is the party that supports equal rights for women? The Republicans started out championing women and then things changed in the 70's, Republicans hiss the word feminist, they let the Moral Majority move in, and they want to keep women barefoot and pregnant!

Cite? Can you show anywhere in the platform of the party where they even mention bare feet?
 
 
The parties have changed over the years... The Republicans used to be MUCH more liberal and the Democrats were more of a reactionary party 100 years ago.

Then the Republicans embraced social conservatism, and the religous right. You can see how the more conservative regions of the country have shifted in the last 50 or more years.... The South was hugely Democratic. Almost all registered voters in the 1940's and 1950's in the South were Democratic, and almost never were Republicans elected to any state offices... Now just look at the regisration for white Southerners, hugely Republicans and look at the state offices... mostly Republicans.

My Grandparents were as conservative as it gets, they were from Montgomery, AL, and they would not be caught dead voting for a Republican! My father was as liberal as they came and he did not vote Democrat until Carter.
 
Nixon was a Quaker....

The Republican party has left its era of religous liberalism since those days... The Reganesque Mitt Romney could not get the nomination because he is LDS....
