That makes no sense. You expect to gain the same from the insurance as he does, but you expect him to pay more for no reason other than you feel injustice where there is none? That's not based on actuary information, that is based on your jealousy.

Show me where I've said I expect to gain the same from SS, after retirement, that the wealthy do. You claim that is what I "expect", then show me where I've made such a claim.
The rich, if he/she paid taxes on 100% of his/her earnings, would get more back after retirement than I would.
What is unfair is taxing 100% of the earnings of the poorest in this country while letting the richest slip by paying on just their first 100K of earnings

Why shouldnt people pay SS on 100% of their income? because maybe then rich people would have an interest in not letting the system implode? And the class warfare of rich versus poor would break down? Fairness could result and we cant have that.

it is not a tax break, you're the one who doesn't want to pay their tax rate...if you were capable of making over 100K, then your income would not all be taxed for SS purposes. you want to pay less taxes, but you want others to pay more. hogwash. they pay the same SS taxes you do, how is that not fair? in fact, i doubt you make anywhere near 100K, so they actually pay more SS tax than you.

I am quite certain the rich would be more than happy with your agreement.
You want your income taxed the same way your income is taxed? Fine.
100% of their income is taxed for SS and so is yours.
100% of their income is taxed at 25% and so is yours.... no more tax brackets.
Also, it isn't a tax break moron. The benefit is CAPPED. Thus, we all pay the exact same for the exact same benefit.

you still haven't answered my question about why you should have a lower tax rate, yet you want them to pay more taxes...how is that fair?
everyone's income is taxed for SS purposes up to 100%. everyones. regardless if you make a billion dollars or 5000 dollars. what is so wrong with that? you just want to redistribute wealth. you want to punish them for making more than you.

who have i insulted? i don't support a flat tax. all their income is taxed and the higher income is taxed at a rate higher than your tax rate. yet it is still not enough. you want more. their income is taxed the same as yours for purposes of SS. thats an undeniable fact.
