The greatest puppet show going on the in the US today is the one being managed by Sarah Palin. The stage is occupied by politicians, pundits and reporters. As she pulls the strings, no matter what she says or does, she fires up the speculation. And she is literally driving them up the wall.

Her latest tantalizing plaything is a “One Nation” bus tour, accompanied by her family, including two children on their first visit to Washington, D.C.

Competition will make a stronger candidate in the end. I don't know if she'll run, but if she does it won't be the end of the world.

That's only if she wins, right?

Not really, if she wins she'll be the strongest candidate out of a bunch. I expect this to be hard-fought, competition will make any of the candidates stronger than they are now. So long as our field doesn't spend all their time tearing each other down rather than speaking on policy.

Yeah, but, what with the Modern Guillotine Noahide Boxcars and the Mayan Calendar ending... Perfect Storm!! :dunno:

Well yeah, there is that. We are doomed before the winner takes office in 2013. But we'll all have crappier nationally mandated health care coverage unless we are lucky enough to receive one of the several zillion waivers for the requirements of Obamacare.

If Palin runs for president and wins it would only confirm my fears that most Americans are fucking stupid.

Thats the same thing I said about people voting for Obama, and so far the predictions have been correct. He will go down in history as the worst president in history.

Youve got to be kidding. Have we forgotten Bush already? Obama is a million times better than Bush.

He's better than Bush at spending money we don't have. He's better than Bush at not creating new jobs. And with the trusty teleprompter, he can speak better than Bush. Given his time on the green, he is probably a better golfer than Bush.

If youve forgotten it was Bush that got us into the problems that Obama has to clean up.If you support bush after all the problems hes caused your a fucking idiot.

I don't support Bush, as far as I know, he isn't running for anything. As presidents go, Obama has him beat for Worst President honors, so far. Maybe Obama can work a miracle or something, he is a messiah, right? If he can somehow pull 4-5 million 'shovel ready' jobs out of his ass, stop the declining value of the dollar, and keep gas from going to $5 a gallon this summer, he might have a chance to turn it around. But I think that is some mighty big wishful thinking. I honestly believe things are going to be much worse come November 2012, and virtually anything breathing on the Republican side, will be able to defeat him.

What I want to know is, when is Obama planning on cleaning up something? So far, all I hear is more of the same Blame Bush crap we've heard all along. When do the solutions kick in? Unemployment is still at nearly 10%, and effective unemployment is more like 17%... under Bush it never rose above 7.5% You see, moron... when we elect someone to FIX the problem, we kind of expect them to do something besides continually blame the problem on someone else. We didn't need to elect Obama for that, we could have jerked up some idiot off the street, if that was what we wanted. Obama was elected specifically because he said he could fix the problems Bush created... well? When?

Sarah Palin is a shallow and superficial person, and her character a flimsy façade; she is all pro forma and no substance. She is appealing to people that are so simple as to be impressed by nothing more than appearances. (Indeed, the former beauty pageant contestant has come a long way on that small capital.) The Republicans would do better to find a person of substantial character, intellect and ability, one able to deal with the world’s leaders, and lead the greatest nation of the world. A hokey “hockey mom” is not such a person.

Takes time to fix 30 years of mismanagement, insane trade policies and to get the middle class working again. It's not all Bush's fault but the fault of conservative ideology that has us on the brink of depression and has driven us into a 3rd world economy. Ross Perot warned us about conservative ideology but the country wouldn't listen, now we are seeing the results.
Don't you ever get tired of backing the interests of multinational and communist billionaires?
