Tell me, other than the insurance program we've all been forced to pay into (Social Security) what "type" of tax do they pay that makes it so they pay a higher rate of federal income taxes? It isn't Income tax, and that is factual.

For those who ever may travel to Colorado, "she's just stupid" does not mean she is stupid and "prior to the stimulus" does not mean prior to the stimulus. This should help you in communicating with the local population.

Social security tax (which the rich are largely exempt from), state sales taxes which barely even touch the rich and utterly clobber the poor. And the fact that the rich usually pay a large percentage of their income in capital gains. The overall tax system is extremely regressive. Why do the conservatives think we need such an extensive welfare system for the rich? Are you worried about whether or not they can eat tomorrow?

For those travelling to MA, 'prior to the stimulus' means 'whatever date prior to the stimulus the person chooses, not the time frame specifically mentioned by the person they are debating,' Just watch out if you do go to MA, there is quite obviously a lot of straw.... quite the fire hazard.

Nobody said they didn't pay State Sales tax, you retard.

Social Security is not Income tax. None of this makes any sense unless you deliberately disconnect yourself from facts in order to support nonsense.

This does not make them pay a higher rate of federal income tax.

Not to mention that tax expenditures, which end up reducing the tax liability of lower income earners to zero, heavily favor rich people in terms of total dollar values.

While discussing racism is certainly a worthy topic, calling everything racism diminishes the valid points she may wish to make. It simply makes her look ridiculous to call that tax point (when the topic is tax rates) racist or to suggest there is a hidden 'code'.

They've refined the language a bit over the past decade...it's changed from the generic "Cadillac" to the more precise "Escalade" these days, but the implication is just as clear.

Did ANYONE state that the 47% don't have any federal taxes taken out of their check? NO.

No one even stated that with regards to federal income tax.

We are discussing the FEDERAL INCOME TAX and the percent of the population that ends up paying it in a given year. If you pay $4000 in federal income taxes over the course of the year and you get back $4000 at the end of the year when you file... then you DID NOT pay federal income taxes for that year.
