Poll: Newt Gingrich soars in Florida

Before we bury Obuma; he's got 2 yrs of big stock market returns and zero this year. If he can luck out with about 14 percent he may pull it out.

The stock market might help... but ultimately it is going to be the unemployment rate that he needs trending in the right direction. I think he could still pull it out even if it is still above 8%... as long as it is trending down from the current 9% at a steady pace. If it is Romney, he is going to need very near or under 8%. If it is Newt, he could still pull it off around 8.5%.

You think Newt has a better chance than Romney?

The base loves Newt, so maybe in a "base" election. But independents would abandon the GOP in droves if Newt was the candidate. The WH is probably more nervous about a Romney candidacy, imo.

Exactly. Normal people don't give a shit about the stock market so long as unemployment is at 9%.

I can not relate to that, I check the market hourly. I'm sure the wealth affect on the top 40% would help. Even if they only have a couple hundred thousand a 15% return feels good.

Um... no... which is why Obama could pull off a win with a higher unemployment rate.

The top 40%? You're including households earning like $60,000 per year in the group that gives a fuck about the stock market. Not likely. Maybe the top 10%.

LMAO.... do tell... what leadership has he provided on the economic front Mr. Apologist?

Criticizing him for his failed efforts isn't ODS. He is our President, he is expected to LEAD. He is failing to do so. That is apparent to everyone who is not a blind apologist.

But i know... because those evil Republicans are not going to do exactly what he wants, then why should he try to negotiate? Right? Isn't that the line of crap you apologists like to use?

Not quite. It's more like the Repubs won't do anything Obama proposes so why bother. We saw that with ObamaCare. The Repubs, like an unruly child or a disgruntled employee, were excluded. I'm sure, as a community organizer, Obama has run into that situation before. Better no legislation/budget/plan rather than one that will result in further hardship for the 99%. Obama is putting his time to good use by meeting folks and talking directly with them instead of playing the Repub game.

Why would he put forward a plan just so the Repubs can run out of the room to the closest microphone and criticize it thereby them getting free air time? Why give the Repubs material that they can twist and distort? He is wise to wait until a Repub is selected and then debate one on one.

In the past he's been asked why he doesn't comment on things that were brought up during Republican debates and he said he's waiting until someone is selected. Why waste his time arguing with 7 or 8 inconsequential, blow-hard candidates? Obama prefers not to play that child's game and simply ignores them. :D

If we all met up somewhere, who do you think I'd pepper spray first?

I give alias about 30 seconds before he's on the ground screaming for someone to please pour water in his eyes.

And there you have it folks. Darla thinks pepper spraying people that disagree with her is a good idea. True lefty.

The second you pointed that pepper spray at me, my blue healer would jump for your throat. But, hey, I appreciate letting me know I'm in your head.

you should read more, at that income level most have access to a 401k and use it

I'm not talking about 401ks.

To clarify, yes, middle income people have 401ks, but they don't really give a shit about the stock market unless they are close to retirement. The average person cares a whole hell of a lot more about whether they and their family and friends have jobs and whether they are likely to keep them. The stock market isn't going to move them much in this economic environment unless it translates to lower unemployment.

Hell yeah we've learned.

We've learned that when you get pushed hard enough you fold and are reduced to posting nothing but demeaning pictures accompanied with derogatory captions.

You've been looking at too too many of Signalmankenneth's posts.......
thats all the poor pinhead knows how to post, never once posted an original thought of his own....maybe never had one....

A thousand a month on 60k household income? That's hard to believe. Not here anyway. Are you sure you are talking household income here Top? Or was this your income and you're not factoring in the 40k your wife was making?
