It is amazing to me how the conservatives can take a piece of shit like Newty and try to make him smell like a rose! If only they could get it togewther long enough to do the same to the economy! I would vote Republican, again if they could do magic!

yeah, normally it is. This one was a wack job.... which led to her losing the court case. She tried to get the judge to believe he was a great dog and that it was all 'the kids fault for playing where he could hear us'... saying he was a good dog... would never have otherwise hurt anyone...

judge asked her... 'then why did you hide behind the boy'....

her response... 'I didn't want to get bit'....

Um... case over.

LOL Don't be a hater you sound like John McCain now! (I assume people heard his slam on LI this week).

This one has been prolific and unfortunately the cops are completely useless. Personally I believe it's because he has apparently targeted possible sex workers he met via craigslist. He dumps the bodies close to the old OBI, a legend on LI, and a place I spent many a summer. It's very disturbing. Creepy beyond belief.

I wish we had a Dexter.

IT's hard to even imagine an adult hiding behind a child in that situation. Sounds like she wasn't playing with a full deck and had no business having a pet, or God forbid, a child.

Beaver Creek is fun to ski, Birds of Prey is one of the best runs in the state. That said, the nightlife is non-existant, the people tend to be the 'way too stuck on themselves' type of rich not the 'lets see how drunk I can get by partying until 4am' type that come to Vail. So don't get me wrong, Vail is still predominantly wealthy with locals mixed in, but relatively speaking the money at Beaver Creek is insane.

I've seen some crazy shit riding bike. I saw a dog run out in front of a cyclist. The guy t-boned the dog and did a complete flip and landed on his wheels. If he could of hanged on it would have been the most awesome thing I ever saw but he fell off. lol

On the down side a couple of summers ago some red neck got pissed that us cyclist were holding up traffic and ran an intersection and hit a lady at the front of the pace line killing her. The fucker got off with a misdemeaner citation. The lying sack of shit said he had no brakes.

Another time I was descending a large hill in southeast Ohio when a deer ran across the road in front of the cyclist in front of me. A pick up coming in the opposite direction hit the deer sending it carwheeling in the direction it had came from and hitting the guy in front mee. His left leg snapped like a twign and he and the deer went flying over the guard rail and tumbling down the hill. Unfortunately the deer was killed, the guy tumbled a good way down the hill with a compound fracture in his leg and his bike was completely totaled. I stopped and ran down the hill and did what I could for the guy till EMT's got there. They played hell getting him back up the hill to the road. I was scared to death he was going to die of shock before they got there.

My best experience was when I was riding in support for a team mate and the plan was for me to break away at the half way point and force our team captains opponents to chase me. They waited till it was to late to start chasing me and I won the race by about 10 minutes ahead of the field. That was my only win as a cat 3 racer.

Yeah... that was pretty much what everyone thought at that point. Until that point she was the 'well, she is quiet and keeps to herself' neighbor.

amazing how that description is used on soooooo many nuts by their neighbors.

Actually he turned out to be a nice dog.....but when your first introduction is 150+ lb Rottweiller chasing you on a bike.....you do what you gotta do! I had bought the pepper spray as protection against human attackers as when your out on back roads there are a lot of mean red necks who don't like cyclist. The Rott showed me a flaw of using pepper spray for defense.

That is really beyond awful. That's the worst biking story I ever heard. I know some messed up stuff that has happened, but that is just horrifying.

JEsus where do you live MOtt? That's one thing we don't have here, rednecks who hate cyclists. Amanda Marcotte writes about that a lot, and I was always like, wtf really? I guess it is widespread. Huh.
