Republicans remain divided on the merits of keeping the tax cut, leaving their party vulnerable to criticism from Democrats that they would raise taxes on the middle class as Americans are struggling economically....

“If they’re nameless and faceless federal employees it’s one thing. But if it happens to be the FBI agent who’s in the midst of a very important investigation to keep this country safe, it’s another,” Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) said. “Those are the people whose jobs they would do away with for the payroll tax cut because they can’t bring themselves to raise taxes on the wealthiest people in America by one penny.” :palm:

Utter nonsense! if they're doing their job correctly, anyone taking over should be able to follow the logic and evidence trail when they come in to continue the job. Durbin is a dumbass and Jarod, you're a bigger dumbass.

If a position is being eliminated, what gives you the idea that some one else will be "taking over"?

He lacks the higher brain function needed to draw conclusions from factual data, apparently.

There are Republicans who don’t think unemployment benefits and the payroll tax break should continue.

Regarding an extension of unemployment insurance, Rep. Ted Poe of Texas said Congress “ought to concentrate on paying people to work, not paying people not to work.”

Some moderates are pushing back against calls to pay for the payroll tax break, especially in light of the Republican position to extend Bush-era tax rates without paying for them.

“We have to stop playing games and start solving problems,” said Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown. “It wasn’t paid for before, so why is it paid for now? Through economic activity, it will pay for itself.”

DMV government workers don't deserve more security than tax payers. There is way more fat in use it or lose it bugeted government jobs.

Righties will be the first to whine when they need the help of laid off police, firefighters, teachers and other providers of government services.

Because the GOP won't let tax cuts for the rich expire, such layoffs are epidemic. The middle class and the poor are required to shoulder more of the burden through taxation and fees. They get less but pay more, while the 1% get a free ride.

Ironically, the Hatriots will claim the lack of service they get from the reduced government workforce is evidence of public-sector incompetence.

We'll all be happy when you man up and become a tax payer.

Let me put this in the only context you seem to understand...

Mitt Romney has stated his opposition to medical cannabis. Asked about the issue during the 2008 presidential campaign, he replied, "I don't want marijuana to be used in our country. I'm not going to legalize marijuana."

Newt Gingrich has been outspoken in his opposition to legalizing marijuana. He sponsored the Drug Importer Death Penalty Act of 1996, under which importing more than two ounces of certain illegal substances into the country can be punishable by life imprisonment or death.

The government had undercover agents infiltrate occupy. If you don't think that is too much government you're as dumb as we all think you are.
