The Firefighters from the FDNY opened up on the violent crowd with a “deluge gun”– which is a high-powered, truck-mounted water cannon–finally causing the mob to disperse.

NYPD officers made nine arrests, but two officers were hospitalized in the attack. Police also recovered a starter pistol, which may have been intended to further terrify the original female target of the mob.

The scene unfolded in New York’s Staten Island borough when a mob of 50 young females gathered outside the home of a single young girl and threatened her. Apparently, the girl had been kept home from school for several days because of repeated and vicious bullying, so the bullies came to her doorstep.

Unsurprisingly, the comments are full of people chastising cops for not immediately pulling out there guns and unloading in into a group of teenage girls as soon as they got on the scene while laughing sadistically and pissing on their dead bodies, as true justice would require. And comments calling for the teenage girl involved to get a concealed carry permit, and a few sardonic responses noting how naive liberal morons in NY are preventing this (no state allows teenagers to get a concealed carry permit, BTW). Also, quite a few comments blaming the incident on Obama emboldening black people, and expressing non-surprise that the people involved were black.

America is a garbage land, full of garbage people. The world will be a much better place after America is gone.

Roving groups of teenaged girls all hopped up on diet coke. Something else for conservatives to cower in their bedrooms pissing their pants over.

Well, at least they are maintaining their figures, that way. My attitude toward bullies when I was in school was, they can all go and engage in teen suicide, and the world won't miss them much, aside from all of the low-end jobs they won't be able to fill post high school.

I said that the legitimate protestors could learn a lesson from the thugs mentioned here. this means that while the two police officers here didn't appear to abuse any power, many at the OWS protests surely did.

School bullying is horrible and I feel for anyone who has to go through that. I have read some horrific stories. That one in Boston, Phoebe Prince? I couldn't stop following that at one point. Heart-breaking that this young girl was followed around and called a slut and whore by a pack of vicious bastards. You just know who their parents were. Some of them probably post here. It's the parents. What a lot of people don't talk about is the fact that many adults are bullies. They never grow out of it they just move on to bully people on the roads, to bully people at work, to bully their wives, their children, etc. And these days, to bully people on the internet. Most internet bullies really are not posting from their parents basement, sadly. Most of them are parents.

And what do you think they're raising? Besides minimum wage workers as you mention.
 
Yeah, I remember Phoebe, that was sad. I also remember the girl who got victimized by another girl's mom via the hoax MySpace account, which slowly led to her eventual suicide, so you are right about active parental involvement.

Some of the bullies outgrow it. I had a whopping total of two bullies in my life, so I am thankful to not have much experience. One bullied me in 4th grade (it was a split class, and he was in 5th grade). It wasn't much, as he never really presented a huge physical threat to me, but I was a goodie-goodie who didn't want to get in trouble because of him, so I let him push me around a bit (I finally landed a punch on him when he got physical, and wound up getting in trouble anyway). He grew-up quickly by the time I caught up with him in middle school, and was a cool guy. One in middle school I never really ran into in high school, so that was that.

As for parents who choose not to emphasize character and moral development to their kids, I just don't know that the fuck they are doing. That's the most important job of a parent.

it takes a real bitch to make fun of this situation. bullying isn't a joke and i doubt the girl hiding in her home finds your comments amusing.
