Jesus doesn't talk about violence. The OT does.
Are you going to try to claim that the OT isn't part of Christianity?
I am saying Christian doctrine is not found in the OT. Do you understand what you're even discussing?

Like I said, the Crusades were defensive to save lives against the aggressor, Islam.
Show us the Christian scriptures that instruct believers to support the inquisition, the KKK, skinheads, supremacist groups, etc, etc.

It's always interesting to me how the OT is obsolete when hating Muslims, but is still in full force when hating homosexuals...
There is plenty of violence & advocacy of violence in Christian scriptures, as you well know. Supporters of the groups mentioned above use those phrases & warp them for their own purposes. Just as extremists do under Islam.
Do you think for one minute that if Christians felt threatened they wouldn't become violent? Just look at Alias and DY and their threats of violence. They would also use scripture to justify their violence, like the good Christians who preach violence against homosexuality.
Nothing in there about Jesus condoning violence in his name or urging his followers to do so. Time for your nap.
NOTHING from written christian doctrine justifies such activism.
Here comes the old and tired argument of bombing abortion clinics. That is stupid and here is the reason............
Tell us how many people have been killed by bombing abortion clinics and how many people were killed by Islamic terrorism.
So, you agree that there are violent extremists on both sides who use their religion as a shield, but it's just a matter of scale?
If that's the case, just look at Christianity's history behind more recent violence. That should even things up a bit.
The crusades were NOT a defense. At the time that pope Urban II called them Christians and Jews were allowed to freeley pilgrimage to to Jerusalem and the "holy land" as long as they obeyed the laws of the preexisting islamic nations in whose land they were travelling. The Urban decided , "F*** that, that land should be ours, all christian nations INVADE" and they did and did slaughter with abandon, read some acounts of the sack of Jerusalem some time, the christians killed every muslim inside that they could get their hands on.
I'll buy the it was a long time ago defense(if with a bit of a sniff) but "it was defensive against an agressor? BULL SHIT
Another instance of violence being acceptable to Christians...John 15:6
"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."
Sure sounds to me like a call to herd all the unbelievers together and set them on fire...
Of course I'm sure you'll have an interpretation handy that claims it's not urging anyone to violence against non-Christians.

Didn't the murdering thug constintine put together the new testament
Didn't Moses slaughter a bunch of non believers?

Okay...so since fewer Abortion Clinic Doctors have been murdered...you excuse the Christian Extremists who killed them...thanks for clarifying.
Funny...even ONE instance of voter fraud is too many for you people, but apparently Abortion Clinic Doctor murders are acceptable because Murders by Islamic Extremists tips the scales back to the Muslims in the long run
As you've been told numerous times before, it's one's own interpretation that allows bastardizations of scriptures to take place.
Islamic extremists twist the Koran to justify their needs.
Christian extremists do exactly the same...you just won't admit it because to do so would reveal your own religious bigotry.
