Question for Republicans

My father's boss was chairman of the GOP in my county. I attended a precinct meeting sometime in 2000 or 2001, and another in 2008 and 2009. I have no clue what days they were on. Why the fuck would I remember?

Not only that but nearly 2 trillion of the money spent under Obama was originally implemented under Bush. i.e. TARP and Military spending increases for the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Granted a trillion dollars in stimulus was legislated under Obama but most economist agree that with 75% of that stimulus going to the ubber wealthy in tax cuts it was far to little for the severity of the recession at hand.....not to mention about 1.5 million auto workers would have lost their jobs which would have put about 2-3 million more people out of work had not this administration bailed out GM & Chrysler, but these guys don't care. They're just being partisan hacks. No one ever claimed Democrats to be fiscally responsible. We're just saying that their no where's as horrifically bad or as irresponsible as Repelicans have been.

???? No, Tarp was funded under Bush. And then paid back with interest under the Obama administration. Without those pay backs, Obamas addition to the debt would have been that much larger.

So you're advocating that this nation would have been better off with out an auto industry and that a great deppression would have been better for us then a recession? What you're saying is that it's ok to spend the nation into massive debt when it's for military facilities, forces and weapons that we don't need and it's ok to rebuild other nations infrastructure so we can maintain military bases there but re-building our infrastructure so as to promote commerce and the common good at home is socialism. Dude.....that's just absurd! Quit drinking the Kool-Aid. Obama inherited a disaster from one of the most inept and incompetent Presidents in US history. Obama has done...ehhh OK....with the half measures he could get through congress and if anywhere Obama deserves criticism it is there but JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.....at least the man is fucking competent. He's got us out of the immoral war in Iraq, he's improved the US standing in the world so that it's now much, much safer for US Citizens to travel abroud and do business, he followed through with the measure needed to save our banking industry and he saved the US auto industry which if either of those two had collapsed would have put this nation into a great depression meanibng far more people woud have suffered, and then he managed to have Osama bin Ladin killed. I'd put that record of accomplishment against that bumbling boob Bush who's ideological incompetence put this nation on the verge of collapse.

So does that make Obama a great President in the likes of Washington, Lincoln and FDR? Not hardly...hell not even close....on the other hand he's been vastly superior to your pal Bush.....which aint exactly setting the bar very high.

What have the Dems done? Stepped on their own dicks? Created half measures cause they don't have the balls to see things all the way through? Are they guilty of that? Hell yea they are. Are they guilty of the ideological extremism and incompetence of the Republicans? Not even fucking close. I could deal with the ideological extremism as long as they left me alone and I'm still making a good living but when their incompetence puts people I know out of jobs and gets others killed then it's time to call a spade a spade!

The Dems are worthy of much criticism but they have not degenerated into a self serving mob that is utterly incapable of governing a large nation and until the Repelican party distances themselves from the extremist who have dominanted their party and adopts a position of providing sane and competent government then they are deserving of the harshest attacks possible so that everyone becomes aware that they have no clothes on!

Recession was over in March 2009, 2 1/2 months into his presidency, before any of his legislation was implemennted. Dont so eagerly drink their koolaid. Auto industry would have continued on, simply under different ownership and without being saddled with unworkable union contracts.

As far as Obamas stimulus, it wasnt loans to be paid back. And I should have said being paid back. As well the portion that involved purchase of equity, the final tally wont be known until those interests are sold.
