What In The Hell Is Wrong With You People?

Angry parents in Georgia want an apology after their children brought home a math assignment that referenced slavery and beatings.

One question in the handout for third-graders at Beaver Ridge Elementary School outside Atlanta read, "Each tree had 56 oranges. If eight slaves pick them equally, then how much would each slave pick?"

Another read, "If Frederick got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in one week?"

Parent Christopher Braxton told WSB-TV in Atlanta he couldn't believe it as he read his son's math homework last week.l

"It kind of blew me away," he said. "Do you see what I see? Do you really see what I see? He's not answering this question."

District spokeswoman Sloan Roach said the teachers were trying to incorporate social studies lessons into the math problems, which is something the school district encourages.

"We understand that there are concerns about these questions and we agree that these questions were not appropriate," she said.

The parents were told the school vice principal had collected the assignment to shred them so that they didn't resurface.

It's really surprising to me that you would post this. You didn't comment if you agree with these questions or not. But taking your anti union, labor threads into consideration seems to me you agree that slaves should be whipped when they misbehave.

Are you serious? Are you starting to believe your own hateful propaganda and that of your pals around here?

"You people" means what?

Georgia's a red state so it's likely the teachers are conservative.

I feel like I'm speaking with a 3rd grader with you.

Atlanta is blue and the Principle is Black. The Principle said it was "A poorly written question". That guarantees the teacher is Black and the Union will protect them when they should be fired.

Correct me IF your find out I'm mistaken. If I'm not mistaken then admit I'm right.

Since you don't believe in labor rights I just figured you were in favor of beating slaves when they misbehave or starve them by making them compete against Asian slave labor, cutting food stamps and... never mind I'm done with you.

You are very very sick. Find a good psychologist and take Darla with you. She has a massive headache and doesn't realize it's her idiotic thinking that's giving it to her.

Show us a post that states I don't believe in Labor Rights. Once again we see you cannot make any points to argue so all you can do is toss bombs. Not very smart, are you!

No...we're just reading the now extensive library of racist quotes from you on these boards.

We don't need to fall under the thrall of propaganda when we've got your actual quotes.

One of your liberal Black teachers gave this as a lesson to elementary students.

You're mistaken. The school is in Norcross, some 20 miles NE of Atlanta. Furthermore, "...Republicans as the majority party in Georgia control the House, Senate and governor’s office. Abram said that they plan to create 49 “majority-minority” House districts, which represents an increase of seven over the existing configuration."

Prove to me that Norcross is blue, and also that the teacher and/or principal is black. Your conjecture is not proof.

and once again the liberals attack the poster and ignore the thread substance all the while bitching when others do the same

The principal is Black. His picture was shown in the article. Do you need to see it? Please call me a liar so I can drum your fucking stupid noggin with it.

Who cares what "race" the Principal is? Those are absolutely stupid questions regardless. I mean, WTF?
