The core problems that perpetuate poverty in ALL of America is 30 yrs of insane right wing trade deals with Asia, trickle down economics, union busting and the outsourcing to slave labor countries that Perrot warned us about in 1992.

The radical right in this country shouldn't bitch about not making a buck from working people since they've taken away their livelyhood and ability to afford health insurance.

Fighting poverty has been good business for the NAACP and other similar organizations who get fed at the trough of the working people of America. Don't make me laugh. If you've been around that long then you have seen the liberal ideas that created a thriving middle class in the 50s-60s and 70 destroyed by the 'greed is good' ideology that has redistributed wealth to the top 1% and outsourced America's industrial base. Face it you are all about cheap labor and then bitch when people cant 'put food on their family'.

Crash, how would you have dealt economically in the '70's with the coming globalization the world was facing and then the millions of people who were now in the global economy after the fall of communism in the late '80's?

Instead of busting unions and lowering wages in the 80s we should have been protecting American labor and our economy at all costs. Instead of encouraging outsourcing we should have installed tariffs on foreign products. Instead of letting big oil take the solar panels off of the White House roof we should have encouraged r&d into solar like Carter wanted. This country is nothing without a strong middle class which is the opposite of what cheap labor Republicons are all about. For over 100 yrs the right has always been about redistributing wealth to the top on the backs of workers. Nothing new.
