What is your opinion? Mormons Christians?

I certainly would not call myself an expert (in anything) - I am not American. My visit was many years ago and I was shown around by the particular elder who was buying my product. That is hardly the point as I think you might agree were you to re-read my post in a more intelligent manner. Try it.

I studied with the young men who came to my door. Read extensively and watched quite a few videos, both pro and con.
I decided it was not the path I was to take in my life's journey. The people were very kind to me when I was searching, but then when I decided not to join, they became rather distant.

In reading your post all I see is yet another example of your hatred and bigotry. It is not YOUR society, it is OUR society. People of all walks of life. Intolerant assholes such as yourself are the problem. Just because you don't agree/like someone else's beliefs doesn't mean you have to run around like a petulant child stomping your feet and shouting how evil/nutty/etc... that other person is.

Why not, you act that way about liberals?

"Magic underpants?"

(Excerpt) What is so secret about mormon underwear?

Submitted by: Sam, Denver, CO

Sam, many people confuse the words "secret" and "sacred". While something that is secret is hidden from the world, something that is sacred means that is special or has some religious significance. Mormon garments (underwear) aren't secret. You can ask any mormon missionary or member of the LDS church about them. They are, however, sacred. They remind members of the church that they have chosen to be obedient to the commandments of the Lord. (End)

That puts a whole different spin on things! I knew a gal and I'll tell you right now her panties were sacred to me! :whoa:

Check out 1:30 to 3:40 on this video. Here is a man who appreciates women! :D

They are sacred and rather secret, too, not just any Mormon may wear them. You receive them in a Temple ceremony and you must meet certain requirements to be a Temple Morman.

You are an expert in making incredibly stupid posts on this forum. Don't sell yourself short.

LOL! Remember Caddyshack?

Judge Smails: You know, you should play with Dr. Beeper and myself. I mean, he's been club champion for three years running and I'm no slouch myself.
Ty Webb: Don't sell yourself short Judge, you're a tremendous slouch.

As a Mormon, I can tell you that you are 100000000000000000000000% incorrect. We consider Christ the ABSOLUTE ONE AND ONLY savior. I suggest you contact the church and make an appointment to speak with the missionaries if you do not believe me.

Who burried the golden plates? What is Brigam Young's status? When you die are you a God to your decendents?

I simply am enjoying the irony that the party that attacked President Obama for not being a Christian is on the cusps of nominating Governor Romney.

The same party that attacked A different Governor of Mass. for being a Liberal Northeastern Elitest.

1) Mormons ARE Christians you dolt.

2) When someone says 'John Doe is a liberal Northeastern Elitist' it does not mean ALL people in the northeast are liberal and/or elitist.

1) That is up for debate, many conservative Christians strongly disagree with you, those are the very ones who were attacking the president for not being Christian.
2) I know.

all things considered, more conservative Christians disagree with you than with Superfreak......and on a multitude of different issues as well.....

Then you need to see an optician. The society to which I referred is NOT your society it is the society in which I exist a or any society that is not of the philosophy of the invading few. In this case it is the societies targeted by the Mormon church who send their troops to foreign countries to try to 'convert' local people to follow their particular faith.
I do not believe that they have that right, I do not believe that I have that right. My message was simple. Do what you wish to do but don't try to sell it to people whose lives differ (by design and choice) from your own.
Show me the hatred or bigotry.
Show me where I 'stomped' (stamped) my feet.
If they (or ANY faith based worshipers of imaginary people) want to tell me I am wrong then I have an equal right, not to say obligation, to return the favour.
Now stop trying to cause a fight.

So YOU are our present representative the the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Well I do know a little bit about your church since I was fortunate (yes really) enough to have been invited to poke around in one of your UK temples just a week or two before it was inaugurated. (do you inaugurate - well whatever you do) Actually I did a very minor business deal with them. So what do we have? We have a minority church (cult) who base their exterior on pure human logic but who have a totally different inner existence. Do you still believe/wear magic underpants?
But the most pernicious aspect of your (mormons) existence is the requirement to be missionaries.
Let me say this to you - quite clearly - quite unequivocally - you have no right - NO RIGHT - no matter what your particular fairy has 'told' you, to enter my country, or anyone else's country and waylay people going about their daily affairs with promises and false hopes and ... the attempted destruction of their local culture.
I would be so happy if you would take this little message back to Salt Lake City and tell your elders.
Please do not defend those actions by your usual claptrap of offering a better life and salvation and a good, clean and healthy lifestylw. Stay home. Pray till your head falls off, I dont care. But keep out of my society.
YOU ARE NOT WELCOME.
(No, you fool. No one is scared of you)

1. Grow up.
2. You DO NOT represent anything or ANYONE but yourself.
3. We can build temples wherever and whenever we like. You approval is neither desired nor required.
4. You got in and looked at un undedicated temple. Good for you. Too bad you were not able to learn anything from it.
5. Your response tells me you DO fear me.
6. Have a nice day.

you're point was to belittle a Mormon's knowledge of Mormonism compared to the insight you had gained into their theology while walking through an empty building.......what a pile of crap.....

(lol, meanwhile Anorexia continues his groan campaign, further demonstrating he's not capable of actually understanding any posts made to this board).......

No it wasnt. My point was to belittle Mormonism AND the lesser well known and loony fringe Christian churches who use evangelism as a mainstay of their faith. My guided tour round a new temple was inserted simply because, historically, posters here enjoy childish come backs trying to prove the ignorance of the poster.
I have no problem with admitting my ignorance of Mormonism, nor do I have a problem with admitting to my ignorance of those private churches you seem to have in America, or of Scientology or those snake worshippers or the Phelps family. But my ignorance is not complete. I have engaged with many of these people and I have formed opinions, as is my right, and I have the right to post those opinions here since it is a place designed for that.
You have the same rights.

I learned a fair bit from my visit. It was made primarily for business but I found my discussions with my host and the (I have to say) the majesty of the construction very interesting. But it is still a cult run by people with a skewed view of reality who think they have the right to proselytise in foreign countries.
Do you WANT people to fear you? Says a lot I think.
