Occupiers or Grifters

Maybe have someone keep an eye on things or lock up the valuables. Should 50 people be on the street because one person may steal something?

Sure, just like x number of people should die because someone took some of STY's theoretical rights away.

So, let's get this straight.
You're blaming the Church; right??

I'm saying whoever is in charge of making the decision people should be left on the street in winter when a warm church is available is no person of God. To paraphrase Charlton Heston, "Damn then. Damn them all to Hell!"

YEAH, so you are blaming the church for not securing it's valuables.

Do you take homeless people into your house? No? Then don't complain that the church is only taking some in and requesting that other's stay outside, they're already being generous to people who aren't working contributing or trying. Would you like to give away the bread and wine to alcoholics?

He bitchs and moans; but yet he sold an apartment building he had, for profit, and forced the tenets to move into something more expensive.
And no, he's already said he doen't bring the homeless into his home.

If you're talking about the Padre's laptop nobody leaves their laptop unattended in a place with public access especially when the "public" are poor, homeless people. Yes, Virginia, hungry people do steal so they can buy food which, having to do so, is a crime in itself as there is no shortage of food. People going hungry in a country that destroys tons of food to make gas for cars. It's an upside down world.

Who isn't trying?

If it's winter and cold and there's room and heat in the church the people should be let in.

I didn't force any tenant to move. I have to say I've never before encountered a person who can be so wrong about so many things.

The first place I purchased was owner-occupied so I moved into the apartment they vacated. Regarding the second place I purchased I had no reason to move into it so I didn't.

You truly are demented, when you defend stealing and condemn the Priest for being an idiot.

Hopefull someday you'll discover that your own comments have returned to bite back at you and that maybe then, you'll gain some of the wisdom that you so sorely lack.

And yet you seem to have forgotten your comments about selling a property and the tenets having to move.

Do you expect people to act civilized in a society that treats them in an uncivilized manner? Have you ever travelled to a poor country, one with limited social programs? Why do you think travel advisors tell people to remain in or near the resort? Hungry, homeless people will steal to survive. Treat people like animals and they will act that way.

And you've opened your door, to how many of those selfsame homeless?

I have, with my Ex, offered a homeless person to come to our home for a shower and change of clothes, however, I'm not advocating individuals take in people from the street. A community can organize with a church to house people overnight in the winter and have a security guard on the premises.
